论《缅甸岁月》中的东方形象

【摘要】：《缅甸岁月》是乔治·奥威尔的第一部小说，是奥威尔思想观和价值观的首次体现。该小说描写的是位于东方的缅甸，属于英帝国后期的殖民地的缅甸，处于动荡不安的世界环境的缅甸。小说中细致的人物刻画，真实的环境描写，，直观的语言叙述，深刻的主题含义，都是这部小说在阅读和研究方面经久不衰的原因。当今后殖民主义理论与批评涌起，中外学者们对这部小说的关注度也提升，对这部小说的研究也不断更新。 在《缅甸岁月》中，东方的环境、人物和话语尤为突出，它们亦是比较文学形象学中的主要研究素材。因此，本文试图从《缅甸岁月》中的东方形象进行分析。首先，通过小说中缅甸的自然环境和人文景观，呈现东方缅甸特殊的环境；通过小说中缅甸人的外表和动作，呈现东方缅甸特别的风情；通过小说中缅甸人与英印人的语言，呈现东方缅甸异域的风貌；然后，结合当时的世界及英帝国政治经济环境和作家自身经历，分析这个东方形象形成的历史成因；最后，参照殖民主义和后殖民主义的理论，综合分析小说中这个缅甸东方形象的价值意义，如殖民者错误观念的衰朽、帝国内民族主义知识分子的觉醒和新式写作方式的开创。
[Abstract]:Burma years is George Orwell's first novel, which is the first embodiment of Orwell's ideas and values. The novel depicts Burma in the east, a colony in the late British Empire, and Myanmar in a turbulent world environment. The meticulous portrayal of characters, the description of the real environment, the intuitionistic language narration and the profound thematic meaning are all the reasons why the novel has a long history in reading and research. When colonialism theory and criticism swell in the future, Chinese and foreign scholars pay more attention to the novel, and the study of the novel is constantly updated. In Burma years, the environment, characters and words of the East are especially prominent, and they are also the main research materials in the field of comparative literature. Therefore, this paper tries to analyze the oriental images in Myanmar years. First of all, through the natural environment and cultural landscape of Myanmar in the novel, it presents the special environment of eastern Myanmar; through the appearance and movement of the Burmese people in the novel, it presents the special customs of the eastern Myanmar; through the language of the Burmese and the British and Indian people in the novel, Presenting the exotic landscape of eastern Myanmar; then, combining the political and economic environment of the world and the British Empire at that time and the writer's own experience, analyzing the historical causes of the formation of this oriental image; finally, referring to the theories of colonialism and post-colonialism, A comprehensive analysis of the value and significance of the oriental image of Myanmar in the novel, such as the decay of the wrong ideas of the colonists, the awakening of the nationalist intellectuals in the empire and the creation of new writing methods.
