论《奥德利夫人的秘密》的主题与叙事策略的统一

【摘要】：玛丽·伊丽莎白·布莱顿是一名杰出的英国惊悚小说女作家。她的代表作《奥德利夫人的秘密》(1862)讲述了一个一跃成为上层社会一员的美丽女子为掩饰她的过去而意图杀人纵火最终被揭穿的故事。本研究以叙事学作为基本的理论基础，探索《奥德利夫人的秘密》的叙事策略是如何与小说的主题构成统一，即，它如何为小说的三个主题表达服务的。 论文具体分为五部分。引言部分主要介绍作者玛丽·伊丽莎白·布莱顿及其小说《奥德利夫人的秘密》，，以及国内外对此作品的研究现状，同时简要介绍论文中所运用的叙事学理论及研究问题和意义。第一章分析了作者是如何通过对不同聚焦的运用和故事空间的转换展示小说中人物身份的变化，从而揭示出维多利亚时期城市化过程中社会流动和人的迷失。第二章研究作者如何运用人格化的第三人称叙事者，直接塑造法，间接塑造法和时序变形，质疑了维多利亚时期的道德要求，展现了善恶共存的道德本质。第三章通过分析奥德利夫人的生存困境，揭露了维多利亚时期女性在家庭和社会的附属地位。另外也探究了人物塑造和内故事叙述者和外故事叙述者是怎样表现此女性主题的。结论部分总结及重申了本文的观点。
[Abstract]:Mary Elizabeth Brighton is an outstanding British thriller woman writer. Her masterpiece Lady Audley's Secret (1862) tells the story of a beautiful woman who leapt into the upper echelons to hide her past by attempting to kill and set fire to the bottom of the story. Taking narratology as the basic theoretical basis, this study explores how the narrative strategy of "Mrs. Audley's Secret" is unified with the theme of the novel, that is, how it serves the three themes of the novel. The paper is divided into five parts. The introduction mainly introduces the author Mary Elizabeth Brighton and her novel "the Secret of Mrs. Audley", as well as the research status of this work at home and abroad. At the same time, it briefly introduces the narratology theory, research problems and significance used in the thesis. The first chapter analyzes how the author reveals the changes of characters' identities through the use of different focus and the transformation of story space to reveal the social mobility and the loss of people in the Victorian urbanization process. In the second chapter, the author studies how to use personified third person narrator, direct shaping method, indirect molding method and time series deformation, questioning the moral requirements of Victorian period and showing the moral essence of the coexistence of good and evil. Chapter three reveals the subordinate position of Victorian women in the family and society by analyzing Mrs. Audley's plight. It also explores how the portrayal and the narrator of the inner story and the narrator of the external story express this female theme. The conclusion part summarizes and restates the viewpoint of this paper.
