论《人树》的写作艺术

【摘要】：帕特里克·怀特是澳大利亚文学史上最著名、最负名望的作家之一。1955年,帕特里克·怀特的小说《人树》出版,这本小说为他获得了全世界范围内的名誉。然而,到目前为止,针对《人树》这部小说的研究大部分围绕着宗教、心理、人与自然关系、人物性格、写作风格、主题和象征等方面展开。因此,为了寻找一个新的研究视角,本论文试图深入研究小说《人树》中的整体写作风格,以此帮助读者挖掘小说的真正价值,更好地了解小说的主题,以及更好地鉴赏作家的写作天赋。本论文主要从四个方面来研究《人树》的写作风格:它独一无二的语言、象征主义的独创性运用、大量使用现代主义式的内心独白和普遍表现出对人物和事件的讽刺。帕特里克·怀特的语言完全是他特有的,清楚表现在他使用原创性和非常规性的语言,以及夸张的修辞。由于象征主义对于文学作品具有更丰富、深刻的意义而起到无与伦比的作用,它似乎得到了作者的特别青睐。内心独白是一种独特的现代主义写作技巧,作为一位著名的现代主义者,怀特明显表现出他对这一写作技巧的热爱,并熟练地将此技巧与叙事混合运用在小说中。在公共事务中,作为一名文化批评家与公众人物,怀特因牙尖嘴利而出名。这个特点生动地呈现在他的作品中,以此讽刺书中那些令人生厌的人和事。在他的著作中,讽刺和暗讽的运用成为作者对现实社会丑恶一面进行攻击的重要武器。总之,论文作者可以总结出,怀特的写作技巧是他作品中最显著的特点,尤其是在这本小说中。对该小说的深入研究,不仅可以加深我们对他的作品的理解,也可以更好地欣赏怀特作为一个无与伦比的澳大利亚作家的写作艺术。
[Abstract]:Patrick White is one of the most famous and famous writers in the history of Australian literature. In 1955, Patrick White's novel the Tree of Man was published, which earned him worldwide fame. So far, however, the study of the novel has mostly focused on religion, psychology, the relationship between man and nature, character, writing style, theme and symbolism. Therefore, in order to find a new research perspective, this paper attempts to study the overall writing style in the novel "Man Tree" in order to help the readers to discover the real value of the novel and better understand the theme of the novel. And better appreciation of the writer's writing talent. This thesis mainly studies the writing style of the Tree of Man from four aspects: its unique language, the original use of symbolism, the extensive use of modernist inner monologues and the general satire of characters and events. Patrick White's language is his own, clearly manifested in his use of original and unconventional language and hyperbole. Because symbolism plays an unparalleled role in the rich and profound meaning of literary works, it seems to be particularly favored by the author. Inner monologue is a unique modernist writing technique. As a famous modernist, White clearly shows his love for this writing skill and skillfully applies it to the novel. In public affairs, as a cultural critic and public figure, White is famous for his sharp mouth. This feature is vividly presented in his works as a satire of the disagreeable people and things. In his works, the use of irony and irony has become an important weapon for the author to attack the ugly side of the real society. In short, the author can conclude that White's writing skills are the most prominent features of his work, especially in this novel. The in-depth study of the novel can not only deepen our understanding of his works, but also better appreciate White's writing art as an unparalleled Australian writer.
