《太阳照样升起》中的种族歧视

【摘要】：《太阳照样升起》是真正意义上海明威的第一部小说，自出版问世以来一直受到学界广泛关注。本文以后殖民主义理论为基础，研究了这部小说中以他者身份出现的犹太人形象和以属下身份出现的黑人形象及其所处的社会环境，，由此探讨了这部小说中的种族歧视问题。 本文主要由绪论、主体和结论三部分组成。绪论部分简要介绍了海明威创作经历、国内外《太阳照样升起》的研究现状以及本文的理论基础和结构安排。 主体部分由三章组成。第一章借助赛义德的“他者”理论重点分析了《太阳照样升起》中以科恩为代表的犹太人在主流社会中的他者形象。 第二章借助斯皮瓦克的“属下”理论，分析了小说中黑人在白人主宰的社会中丧失话语权后沦为无声的“属下”形象。第三章借助霍米巴巴的“模仿”理论，探讨了小说中“他者”和“属下”人物试图通过“模仿”策略融入主流社会但却在种族歧视的环境中注定失败的结局及其原因。 第三章结论部分在总结了论文主要内容的基础上重申了论文的中心观点：《太阳照样升起》中“他者”和“属下”美国人形象及其所处环境表明，美国虽然宣称自己是奉行民主和平等的国家，但是为了维护正统白人的利益却始终没有消除种族歧视；海明威出生在中产阶级家庭，从小受到白人精英文化影响，因此在塑造少数族裔美国人的形象时不自觉地带有种族歧视意识。
[Abstract]:Sun or rising is the first novel of Hemingway in real sense, which has been paid much attention by scholars since it was published. Based on the theory of colonialism, this paper studies the Jewish image in this novel as the other and the black image in the subordinate identity and its social environment, and probes into the racial discrimination in the novel. This paper consists of three parts: introduction, subject and conclusion. The introduction briefly introduces Hemingway's creative experience, the present research situation of Sun still rising at home and abroad, and the theoretical basis and structural arrangement of this paper. The main part consists of three chapters. The first chapter focuses on the other image of the Jew represented by Cohen in the mainstream society by virtue of said's "the other" theory. In the second chapter, with the help of Spivak's "subordinate" theory, the author analyzes the "subordinate" image of the black man in the novel after losing his right to speak in a society dominated by white people. In chapter three, with the help of HomiBaba's "imitation" theory, the author discusses the outcome and reasons of the "other" and "subordinate" characters trying to integrate into the mainstream society through the strategy of "imitation" but doomed to fail in the environment of racial discrimination. The conclusion of the third chapter restates the central point of the thesis on the basis of summarizing the main contents of the thesis: the images of the "other" and "subordinate" Americans and their environment in the Sun still rise. Although the United States claims to be a democratic and egalitarian country, it has never eliminated racial discrimination in the interests of white orthodoxy. Hemingway was born in a middle-class family and was influenced by the culture of the white elite from an early age. As a result, racial discrimination is unconsciously present in the image of minority Americans.
