[Abstract]:At the end of the 19 th century, the United States gave birth to a literary magnate, Sherwood Anderson. His works not only attracted the most extensive attention of contemporary writers, but also had a profound impact on later famous writers Faulkner and Hemingway. Winesburg, 1919 The successful release of Ohio established Sherwood Anderson's position in the history of modern American literature. A complete portrayal of a group of psychologically absent deformities living in Winsborough, a small Midwestern city in the United States. In the era of Sherwood Anderson's life, American society is experiencing the modern industrial revolution, the development of economy and the impact of old and new culture make his works have a strong modern color. In this paper, (Winesburg, Ohio) is chosen as the research object, from the perspective of symbolism, the deformed crowd images in the article are analyzed in detail, and further discussed in the tide of modern industry. People experience a series of puzzles, loneliness, alienation of the underlying causes. This thesis includes five chapters.
