《米德尔马契》非叙事评论研究

【摘要】：《米德尔马契》是乔治·艾略特的长篇小说中受批评界关注最多的一部。本文旨在研究《米德尔马契》文本中非叙事评论如何发挥其功能,影响读者对人物角色和事件的反应。为了更好地辨明非叙事评论如何主导叙述者和读者的动态关系,我们引入文本中两个时间上的概念：故事时间的现在和叙事时间的现在,以使得非叙事评论与叙事部分区分开来。故事时间的现在是有读者参与其中的当下;叙事时间的现在则属于叙事的第二层,使读者和叙事保持一定距离,从而可以和叙述者直接对话。第二类时间概念中,读者仍处于阅读情景之中,但被叙述者拉进了叙事的世界。读者进入叙事领域后,就会参与和叙述者的交流互动。本文借助叙事学领域的研究手段,研究《米德尔马契》里对叙事中具体现象的一般概括,以及对读者的指涉和称呼,举例讨论非叙事评论对读者反应的影响。
[Abstract]:Middlemachy is one of the most critical novels by George Eliot. The purpose of this paper is to study how the non-narrative comments in Middlemachy play their role and influence the reader's response to the characters and events. To better identify how non-narrative comments dominate the dynamic relationship between narrators and readers, we introduce two temporal concepts in the text: the present of story time and the present of narrative time. In order to distinguish the non-narrative comments from the narrative part. The present time of the story is the moment in which the reader takes part, while the present moment of the narrative time belongs to the second layer of narration, which makes the reader and the narration keep a certain distance so that they can have direct dialogue with the narrator. In the second kind of time concept, the reader is still in the reading scene, but the narrator is drawn into the narrative world. After entering the narrative field, the reader will participate in the communication and interaction with the narrator. By means of narratology, this paper studies the general generalizations of the specific phenomena in narration in "Middlemachy", as well as the reference and address to the readers, and gives examples to discuss the influence of non-narrative comments on readers' reactions.
