刘勰《文心雕龙》与贺拉斯《诗艺》文学思想比较

【摘要】:《文心雕龙》与《诗艺》是两部在中西文论史上产生重大影响的理论著作。尽管它们的创作时间相差几百年,刘勰与贺拉斯所接受的思想也很不相同,但是这两部理论著作却有相似的写作目的、研究对象、理论基础以及表达方式,在论文学创作方面也有相通的观点,尤其是在诗人的作用以及文学的功用方面都有较为相似的论述,所以我们可以对它们的文学思想进行比较。 《文心雕龙》的写作目的之一是为了厘清繁杂的文献,为文人的创作提供指导方法;《诗艺》原本的写作目的就是为了向罗马贵族介绍文学创作的方法,因此二者在写作目的上是有一致之处的。当然其他方面诸如动机之类,刘勰与贺拉斯也是有不同的。在确定了写作目的之后,我们再看二者的研究对象与范围。尽管这两部理论的研究对象不太一致,但都是基于文学的研究,因此还是具有可比之处的。 《文心雕龙》与《诗艺》不仅在写作目的和研究对象上有一致之处,而且在理论基础和表达方式上也有相似的观点。对创作者主观方面尤其是情感的关注以及折中思想的运用是二者相同的理论基础;具有诗歌的一般特征则是二者在表达方式上的相似之处,当然在结构以及语言上二者也是有差异的。 《文心雕龙》与《诗艺》中最能表达刘勰与贺拉斯文学思想的部分是创作论。在论创作时,刘勰与贺拉斯在论艺术构思、论文章整体结构之美以及论文学的通变的问题上都有比较接近的看法。他们都认为艺术构思源于外物的触动,文章结构必须保持完整一致,而且都觉得文学必须有通变才能保持延续与发展。当然在细节问题上他们的观点也有所不同,比如说刘勰更注重自然对诗人情感的触动,但就总体而言,他们在论创作时还是有可以互相发明的地方的。 作家是文学的四要素之一,刘勰与贺拉斯对诗人的修养都有重点关注。他们均认为诗人的修养必须包括先天的禀赋与后天的技艺,要求诗人不断地学习。在论述了诗人的修养尤其是诗人技艺的培养之后,他们还以理论家和读者的二重身份对诗人进行了评价,揭示了诗人的作用。探讨完作家就进入到了对文学作品的探讨,文学作品既是作家智慧的结晶又是作家思想的载体,我们通过对刘勰与贺拉斯论文学功用的探讨,既是对之前整个创作结果的一次回顾,又为今天的文学发展提供了指导。 总之,认真比较《文心雕龙》和《诗艺》的文学思想是对中西古代文论的一次深入探讨和观照,也为我们今天的文学发展提供了理论渊源和现实指导。
[Abstract]:Wen Xin Diao long and poetic Art are two important theoretical works in the history of Chinese and Western literary theory. Although their creative time is several hundred years, and Liu Xie and Horace accept very different ideas, the two theoretical works have similar writing purposes, research objects, theoretical basis and expression methods. There are also similar views on literary creation, especially on the role of poets and the functions of literature, so we can compare their literary thoughts. One of the purposes of "Wen Xin Diao long" is to clarify the complicated literature and provide the guiding method for the literati's creation. The original purpose of poetic Art was to introduce the methods of literary creation to the Roman aristocrats. Of course, other aspects such as motivation, Liu Xie and Helas are also different. After determining the purpose of writing, we look at the research object and scope of the two. Although the object of the two theories is different, they are based on literature, so they are comparable. "Wen Xin Diao long" and "poetic Art" are not only consistent in writing purpose and research object, but also have similar views on theoretical basis and expression mode. It is the same theoretical foundation to pay attention to the subjective aspect of the creator, especially the emotion and the application of the compromise thought. The general characteristics of poetry are the similarities between them in expression, and the differences between them in structure and language. Creation theory is the part of Wen Xin Diao long and poetic Art that can express Liu Xie's and Horace's literary thoughts. In writing, Liu Xie and Horace have similar views on artistic conception, on the beauty of the overall structure of the article and on the general change of the study of the thesis. They all think that the artistic conception originates from the touch of foreign objects, that the structure of the article must be complete and consistent, and that literature must have a general change in order to maintain its continuity and development. Of course, they have different views on the details, for example, Liu Xie pays more attention to the feelings of the poet, but generally speaking, they still have the place to invent each other. The writer is one of the four elements of literature, Liu Xie and Horace pay attention to the cultivation of the poet. They all believed that the poet's accomplishment must include the innate endowment and acquired skill, which required the poet to learn constantly. After discussing the cultivation of poets, especially the cultivation of poets' skills, they also evaluate poets as theorists and readers, and reveal the role of poets. After discussing the writers, they entered into the discussion of literary works, which are not only the crystallization of the writer's wisdom but also the carrier of the writer's thought. We discuss the function of Liu Xie and Horace in the study of essays. It is not only a review of the whole creation before, but also a guide to the development of literature today. In a word, comparing the literary thoughts of Wen Xin Diao long and poetic Art seriously is a deep discussion and reflection on the ancient literary theory of China and the West, and also provides us with theoretical origin and practical guidance for the development of literature today.
