《了不起的盖茨比》中权力争夺的话语策略

【摘要】：作为爵士时代的代言人之一,菲茨杰拉德被誉为二十世纪伟大的作家和迷惘一代的代表。小说《了不起的盖茨比》出版之后,菲茨杰拉德更是得到广泛的关注和赞誉。同时,广大学者和批评家们也对小说进行了大量的研究与批评。纵观现有研究成果,大多都从小说主题、社会背景、写作技巧、叙述结构等方面进行研究,例如美国梦、象征主义、女性主义等。因此,要想对小说进行更加深入且有新意的研究与理解,我们必须寻求新的途径。作者认为此小说不仅仅是描绘了两位男士争夺爱情的故事,其更多地是在揭示和诠释话语权力的争夺。因此,本论文从话语和权力的基本概念出发,结合法国哲学家福柯的话语权理论,从权力争夺的角度对小说进行分析与研究。作者按照话语的概念将其分为显性话语和隐性话语两类,并以小说中因权力争夺而产生的话语为对象,通过举例分析和总结归纳的方法尽可能全面、系统地分析权力争夺的话语策略,并以此为基础揭示出话语与权力的关系及其本质。以致让读者明白话语是特定阶级用来表达思想、观念并以此进行利益保护的工具。因此,在被灌输某种思想时需要认真对其进行审视,做到辨别善恶、去伪存真。 本论文共分四章： 第一章为绪论,简要介绍本论文的研究背景,包括作者简介及小说概述；小说的国内外研究现状及其评论；以及论文研究的重要性,包括选题原因、研究目的及方法。 第二章分别从话语和权力的基本定义出发,运用法国哲学家米歇尔·福柯的话语权力理论对“话语”和“权力"的概念分别从一般性和特定性两个角度分别对其进行了具体阐释与归纳。 第三章根据话语的定义将其分为显性话语和隐形话语两类,并结合小说中的话语实例进行分析,总结出小说中反映的权力争夺的话语策略。同时,以福柯的话语权理论为理论研究基础,抽象出小说中反映的隐形话语策略,说明其在权力争夺中的运作。本章通过小说中的具体话语分析总结出不同类型的话语权力争夺的策略,以期揭示话语权的本质。 第四章就本论文进行总体概括,总结成就及局限性,进一步说明权力争夺的话语策略在小说中的体现及其意义。
[Abstract]:As one of the spokesmen of the jazz age, Fitzgerald was praised as the great writer of the twentieth century and the representative of the lost generation. After the publication of the novel the Great Gatsby, Fitzgerald received much attention and praise. At the same time, the majority of scholars and critics have also done a lot of research and criticism of the novel. Throughout the existing research results, most of the research from the novel theme, social background, writing skills, narrative structure and other aspects, such as the American dream, symbolism, feminism and so on. Therefore, we must seek new ways to study and understand the novel more deeply and innovatively. The author believes that this novel not only depicts the story of two men fighting for love, but also reveals and interprets the struggle for discourse power. Therefore, this thesis analyzes and studies the novel from the angle of power contention from the basic concepts of discourse and power, combined with Foucault's theory of discourse right. According to the concept of discourse, the author divides it into two categories: explicit utterance and recessive utterance, and takes the discourse produced by the struggle for power in the novel as the object. This paper systematically analyzes the discourse strategy of power contention, and reveals the relationship and essence of discourse and power. So that readers understand that discourse is a class used to express ideas, ideas and thus protect the interests of the tool. Therefore, an idea needs to be carefully examined when it is instilled, to distinguish between good and evil, to distinguish between falsehood and to preserve the real. This thesis is divided into four chapters: the first chapter is the introduction, briefly introduces the research background of this thesis, including the author's brief introduction and the novel outline, the domestic and foreign research situation and the commentary of the novel; And the importance of the paper research, including the reasons for the topic, research purposes and methods. The second chapter starts from the basic definition of discourse and power, Using the discourse power theory of French philosopher Michel Foucault, the author explains and induces the concepts of "discourse" and "power" from the perspectives of generality and specificity respectively. According to the definition of discourse, the third chapter divides the discourse into two categories: explicit discourse and invisible discourse, and analyzes the discourse examples in the novel, and summarizes the discourse strategies of power contention reflected in the novel. At the same time, based on Foucault's theory of discourse right, this paper abstracts the invisible discourse strategy reflected in the novel and explains its operation in the struggle for power. This chapter summarizes the strategies of different types of discourse power competition through the analysis of specific discourse in the novel, in order to reveal the essence of discourse power. Chapter four generalizes the thesis, summarizes the achievements and limitations, and further explains the expression and significance of the discourse strategy of power contention in the novel.
