《别让我离开》的叙事空间

【摘要】:石黑一雄,1954年出生于日本长崎,后跟随父母移居英国,是一位杰出的日裔英国当代小说家。自1982年他的第一部作品《群山淡影》出版,三十几年的创作生涯中,他著有六部长篇小说,分别是《群山淡影》(1982)、《浮世画家》(1986)、《长日留痕》(1989)、《无法安慰》(1995)、《上海孤儿》(2000)、以及本文所关注的《别让我走》(2005)。自《群山淡影》之后,石黑一雄的作品及其本人就走进了文学批评家的视野中,几乎每一部作品都在英国畅销书榜单之列。他的作品视野宽广,思想深刻,笔法简单纯熟,正因如此,他在当代英国文坛地位拥有十分重要的地位。 《别让我离开》讲述了一群生活在主流视野之外的克隆人,他们因为人类医学的需要来到这个世界,注定以在壮年之前捐献出自己的器官而结束生命。通过描述克隆人来关照现代人的生存处境,可以说是一个有关现代人生存现状的隐喻。《别让我走》自出版以来在文学批评界受到广泛关注,本文从叙事空间的角度进行文本分析,旨在阐释《别让我离开》的叙事空间特征,以及叙事空间如何帮助建构作品的主题。石黑一雄将物理空间按照时间顺序排布,以事件为节点绘制记忆空间的地图,说明了生命的短暂和记忆的重要。本文将《别让我离开》中的空间分别剥离开来,从物理空间,记忆空间以及权力空间三个层面进行分析。本文主要围绕以下论点展开,第一,物理空间的选择和排布凸显了小说作为人类生存描绘隐喻的特征;第二,小说叙事者描绘的记忆空间取消了时间,以绘制地图与设立地标的方式突出整体性的叙事形式,同时说明记忆可贵的主题。第三,权利空间通过记忆空间呈现,并通过物理空间的排布构建,说明小说的社会性。文章结论部分总结全文论述,说明空间在小说的叙事功能与主题建构上都举足轻重,并指出了新的研究方向
[Abstract]:Ishihiro, born in 1954 in Nagasaki, Japan, moved to England with his parents. He is an outstanding contemporary Japanese novelist. Since the publication of his first work, "Light Shadow of the Mountains" in 1982, he has written six novels in his more than thirty years' writing career, namely, "the Light Shadow of the Mountains" (1982), "the floating Painter" (1986), and "the long Day traces" (1989). "No comfort" (1995), "Shanghai Orphan" (2000), and "Don't let me go" (2005). Since then, Ishihiro's works and his own have come into the view of literary critics, almost every one of which is on the best seller list in England. His works are broad in vision, profound in thought and simple in writing, which is why he holds a very important position in the contemporary English literary world. Don't let me go "tells the story of a group of clones living outside the mainstream who came to the world for the needs of human medicine and were destined to end their lives by donating their organs before adulthood." By describing human cloning to care for the living situation of modern people, we can say that it is a metaphor about the current situation of modern people's existence. "Don't let me go" has received widespread attention in literary criticism since its publication. This paper analyzes the narrative space from the perspective of narrative space in order to explain the characteristics of narrative space and how the narrative space helps to construct the theme of the work. Ishihiro arranges the physical space according to the order of time, taking the event as the node to draw the map of the memory space, which shows that the life is short and the memory is important. In this paper, the space in "Don't let me leave" is separated and analyzed from three aspects: physical space, memory space and power space. This paper focuses on the following points: first, the choice and arrangement of physical space highlights the features of the novel as a metaphor for human existence; Second, the memory space described by the narrator cancels the time, highlighting the overall narrative form by drawing maps and setting landmarks, and explaining the valuable theme of memory at the same time. Thirdly, the power space is presented by memory space and constructed through the arrangement of physical space to explain the sociality of the novel. The conclusion of the article summarizes the full text, explains that space plays an important role in the narrative function and theme construction of the novel, and points out the new research direction.
