《奥多芙的神秘》的空间研究

【摘要】：安拉德克利夫（Ann Radcliffe）是18世纪英国哥特小说杰出的代表人物，共创作了五部哥特风格的小说，其中最具代表性的就是《奥多芙的神秘》。学术界对拉德克利夫及其作品的研究主要从女性主义批评的角度展开，鲜有从空间角度进行深入研究。 空间因素是这部哥特小说中一个非常重要的问题，它既决定了小说叙述特征，又使小说散发出诗学意味，同时还隐藏着各种文化密码与意识形态气息。所以本文以“空间诗学”为理论根基，同时结合某些空间文化学的相关理论，对小说的空间建构进行探讨，并在此基础上，对空间中人物的生存状态进行深入地分析。 论文主体部分从封闭空间、开放空间和双重空间三个层面对小说进行空间的研究。第一部分是探索在封闭空间中主人公的心理表现与精神状态，主要是从封闭空间的双重体验和人际关系两个方面入手，探讨在特有的空间环境中所引发的人物伦理处境与伦理行为问题，从而凸显小说所具有的哥特小说的空间特征。第二部分从开放空间的双重体验和人际关系两个方面出发，，探索在这种空间中主人公的心理表现与精神状态，以及在这种空间环境中所出现的人物的伦理境遇与伦理问题，借此揭示小说具有的同一时期浪漫主义小说的空间特征。第三部分，主要是从空间意象和心理表现与特征两个方面论述，借此展现出在双重空间中特有的人物精神状态。 总之，在空间的生产过程中，具有感性特征的文学是十分重要的一环。它在参与空间生产的同时，也传达着人们不同的空间体验。因此，从某种意义上来讲，从空间这一角度分析文学，会帮助我们更好更深地理解每个时期或者某一特定的文学作品。《奥多芙的神秘》中进行封闭、开放和双重空间三种空间地建构，在分别解读它们各自的特征的同时，进而能够发现，三种空间环境中人物的精神演变过程，从而更好地发现空间中人物的生存状态。
[Abstract]:Andy Cliff (Ann Radcliffe) is an outstanding representative of English Gothic novels in the 18th century. He has written five Gothic-style novels, the most representative of which is Odoff's Mystery. The academic research on Radcliffe and his works is mainly carried out from the angle of feminist criticism, but rarely from the perspective of space. The spatial factor is a very important issue in this Gothic novel. It not only determines the narrative characteristics of the novel, but also emits the poetic meaning of the novel. At the same time, it also hides all kinds of cultural codes and ideological breath. Therefore, based on the theory of spatial poetics and some related theories of spatial culture, this paper probes into the spatial construction of the novel and, on this basis, deeply analyzes the living state of the characters in the space. The main part of the thesis studies the space of the novel from three aspects: closed space, open space and double space. The first part is to explore the mental performance and mental state of the protagonist in the closed space, mainly from the two aspects of the double experience and interpersonal relationship of the enclosed space. In order to highlight the spatial characteristics of Gothic novels, this paper discusses the ethical situation and ethical behavior of characters in the special space environment. The second part explores the mental performance and mental state of the protagonists in the open space from the two aspects of the dual experience and interpersonal relationship, as well as the ethical situation and ethical problems of the characters appearing in this space environment. In this way, it reveals the spatial characteristics of romantic novels in the same period. The third part, mainly from the space image and psychological expression and characteristics of two aspects, so as to show the unique mental state of the characters in the dual space. In short, in the process of space production, literature with perceptual characteristics is a very important link. It is involved in space production, at the same time, it also conveys people's different space experience. So, in a sense, analyzing literature from the point of view of space will help us better and more deeply understand each period or a particular piece of literature. Three kinds of spatial construction of open space and double space, while interpreting their respective characteristics separately, can discover the spiritual evolution process of the characters in the three kinds of space environment, so as to better discover the living state of the characters in the space.
