情感政治:托妮·莫里森小说中的姐妹历程

作为非裔美国女性作家,托妮·莫里森(1931-)在她的创作实践中以话语作为手段,字里行间流露着黑人作家的政治责任感和文学使命感。在1993年的诺贝尔获奖致辞中,莫里森以“手中之鸟”喻示语言,告诫作家和读者要警惕在语言使用过程中由于不负责任或机构审查所导致的不良后果和潜在暴力。因为作者深谙这个道理,即语言就是力量,即可以创造,也可以毁灭。尽管莫里森从未公开承认自己是个女权主义者,但从她目前所创作的九本小说和撰写的两部文学评论集中,我们不难发现黑人女性人物不仅被前置于她的作品之中,而且处于绝对地位。作者正是以黑人社区代言人的姿态,通过对故事和历史的重构,冀希颠覆在白种男权统治和歧视与压迫并存的社会历史背景下,黑人女性“奶妈、女家长、福利母亲和荡妇”(O’Reilly: 3)等典型形象。莫里森关注黑人女性命运,姐妹之间的情谊自然成为了其主要的描写对象。当然,作者在描绘姐妹情谊的同时,通过高超的叙事技巧和手法将种族、性别和阶级巧妙地融入其中,为实现其政治使命奠定了坚实的基石。本篇论文就此对莫里森小说中再现的姐妹情谊主题进行探讨,目的有二。其一,论文试图阐述黑人女性在遭受种族和性别双重压迫下,她...
