　　马克辛·洪·金斯敦(中文名汤婷婷),作为美国当代华裔作家群中的佼佼者,其代表作《女勇士》(1976)一经发表,便引起轰动并由此确立了她在美国华裔文学史上的地位。该小说主要描写了主人公由于处在中西文化冲突的尴尬境地中而不断寻找和建构自己的文化身份和性别身份的心路历程。自本书出版以来,众多研究者从女性主义、后现代主义、多元文化和世界小说角度等方面进行了深入研究,并取得了丰硕的成果,但基于系统功能语法,从评价理论分析探讨的还没有,因此本论文作者愿意在此方面做一个新的尝试。 评价理论最初起源于20世纪90年代,是对系统功能语言学中人际意义这一方面的新的扩展。评价理论主要关注体现在语篇中的不同的态度资源,语篇中情感表达的强度,以及表明价值和与读者取得共鸣的不同方式。该理论目前已被广泛运用于传媒、新闻,演讲等各种类型体裁的语篇分析,但应用于小说语篇分析研究的还不多见。马克辛·洪·金斯敦的作品《女勇士》中充满了大量的评价资源及人际意义的生动表达,一方面,应用评价理论分析这部文学作品,可以为解读文学作品中深刻的评价意义开拓出一条新思路和构建一个新的理想框架,另一方面,《女勇士》这部作品中蕴含的丰富的...
