基于语言象似性的英语一般过去时教学研究

【摘要】:象似性是相对于语言任意性的另一个语言特征,它揭示了语言结构与人类经验结构两者之间存在的必然联系。象似性理论提出语符形式与其表指意义之间存在对应象似的关系。这些对应象似关系是基于人类的经验和认知基础上的,是形成人类语言的根源之一。至今为止,象似性理论研究者们已经提出了丰富的实例资料和比较系统的理论。这些为教师从语言的认知角度解释英语中的各种语法规则提供了有力的依据,可以使语言学习者能够更加深刻地认识到形成这些语言规则的认知原理。教师若能够将事物的大致性质和规律结合人类的经验和认知方式,并对它们与语言之间的内在联系进行描述,便可使学习者加深对语言的理解,从而提高语言能力和运用水平。目前国内外学者不仅从象似性的视角研究语言和文学,而且对象似理论在语言教学中的应用也进行了积极的探索。本文作者基于象似性理论的语言教学研究是对英语语言教学的探索性实证研究,目的是帮助学生理解英语一般过去时态概念。本研究是以江苏省常州市某中学初中一年级学生为实验对象,运用语言象似性理论,以一般过去时概念教学为例的实证研究。首先对语言形式和意义的对应关系做图示解释,介绍一般过去时动词的基本后缀形式“-ed”对应的“过去的时空、状态、行为和事实”的基本概念,并运用这一“形-意”对应关系来解释一般过去时的多种基本用法。本文作者希望通过实证研究发现这种基于语言象似性的教学理念和方法能帮助学生更好地理解语法现象和语言规则。本研究对实验班和对照班使用前后测,对实验班实施一个月的教学实验。本论文报告并分析了教学实验后,实验班和对照班在一般过去时基本概念方面的学习成绩和变化。基于本研究结果,笔者试图从语言象似性特征角度得出一些英语语法教学方法的启示,也希望能有助于英语教师运用更有效的方法来提高课堂效率,增强学生学习外语语言的能力。
[Abstract]:Iconicity is another linguistic feature relative to linguistic arbitrariness. It reveals the inevitable relationship between the structure of language and the structure of human experience. The theory of iconicity suggests that there is a corresponding image relation between the form of sign and its signified meaning. These corresponding iconicity relations are based on human beings. Based on experience and cognition, Is one of the root causes of human language. Iconicity researchers have put forward abundant examples and more systematic theories, which provide a powerful basis for teachers to interpret various grammatical rules in English from the perspective of language cognition. It can enable language learners to have a deeper understanding of the cognitive principles that form these language rules. If teachers can combine the general nature and regularity of things with human experience and cognitive style, By describing the internal relationship between them and language, learners can have a deeper understanding of the language, thus improving their language ability and application. At present, scholars at home and abroad not only study language and literature from the perspective of iconicity. Moreover, the application of object similarity theory in language teaching has also been actively explored. The author's research on language teaching based on iconicity theory is an exploratory empirical study of English language teaching. The purpose of this study is to help students understand the concept of English general past tense. Taking the concept teaching of the general past tense as an example, this paper makes a graphic explanation of the corresponding relation between the language form and the meaning, and introduces the basic suffix form of the general past tense verb "-ed" corresponding to the space-time and the state of the past. The basic concept of "act and fact", The author hopes to find out that this kind of teaching idea and method based on iconicity can help students to better geography by using this "form-meaning" correspondence relation to explain various basic usages of the general past tense. Understanding grammatical phenomena and language rules. A one-month teaching experiment was carried out in the experimental class. This paper reports and analyzes the learning achievements and changes of the experimental class and the control class in the basic concepts of the general past tense after the teaching experiment. The author tries to draw some enlightenments of English grammar teaching methods from the perspective of linguistic iconicity. It also hopes to help English teachers to use more effective methods to improve classroom efficiency and enhance students' ability to learn foreign languages.
