语料库资源在初中英语词汇教学中的应用

【摘要】:众所周知的是,词汇是语言学习的奠基石。在词汇量的要求上,上海制定的《上海市中小学英语课程标准》要求全体初中毕业的学生的词汇水平需达到三级目标,即1800-2100的词汇量。因此词汇教学在英语语言的教学中是非常重要的。但是费时低效一直是词汇教学的一个老大难问题,教师在教学时运用传统方法,教学手段枯燥乏味,以致于学生丧失学习动力与学习兴趣,导致学习成绩下降甚至对英语学科产生抵触情绪,引起恶性循环。因此,提高词汇教学的效率便成为当今英语教育界的一个热点话题。随着时代和技术的不断发展,语料库技术开始走进英语教育界的视野。语料库以其容量大、语料真实开始逐渐运用到英语教学当中。因此本研究将探讨基于语料库的数据驱动教学在初中英语词汇教学中的应用。根据上述问题笔者提出研究假设:相比较于传统词汇教学法,利用语料库的数据驱动学习教学法能够显著提高学生的词汇学习效果。在研究过程中,笔者主要运用了问卷调查法,访谈法以及实验法。本研究发现学生以及教师对于基于语料库的词汇教学持积极正面的态度,他们乐于使用这种新方法进行词汇教学。在实验法中,笔者随机选取两个班级作为实验班与对照班,对照班按照传统方法教学,实验班按照语料库教学法进行教学,通过对实验前的前测以及实验后的后测成绩由SPSS 20.0进行数据分析后发现在经过基于语料库资源的数据驱动词汇教学后,实验班的学生的成绩有大幅提高。研究表明,基于语料库资源的数据驱动词汇教学能够显著提高学生的词汇学习效果,但是这个方法的推广仍需要得到教育部门的支持以及教师本身专业理论知识的提高。
[Abstract]:It is well known that vocabulary is the cornerstone of language learning. In terms of vocabulary requirements, Shanghai's English Curriculum Standard for Primary and Middle Schools requires that the vocabulary level of all the students graduating from junior high school should reach the third-level goal, I. e., the vocabulary of 1800-2100. Therefore, vocabulary teaching is very important in English language teaching. However, time-consuming and inefficient teaching has always been an old and difficult problem in vocabulary teaching. Teachers use traditional methods in teaching, and teaching means are dull and boring, resulting in students losing their motivation and interest in learning. It leads to the decline of academic achievement and even to the antagonism of English, which leads to a vicious circle. Therefore, improving the efficiency of vocabulary teaching has become a hot topic in the field of English education. With the development of time and technology, corpus technology has come into the field of English education. Because of its large capacity, corpus is gradually used in English teaching. Therefore, this study will explore the application of corpus-based data-driven teaching in junior high school English vocabulary teaching. According to the above questions, the author puts forward the research hypothesis: compared with the traditional vocabulary teaching method, the data-driven learning method based on corpus can significantly improve the students' vocabulary learning effect. In the course of the research, the author mainly used questionnaire, interview and experiment. The present study finds that students and teachers have a positive attitude towards corpus-based vocabulary teaching and they are happy to use this new method in vocabulary teaching. In the experimental method, the author randomly selects two classes as the experimental class and the control class, the control class teaching according to the traditional method, the experimental class teaching according to the corpus teaching method. Through the data analysis of pre-test before experiment and post-test by SPSS 20.0, it is found that after data-driven vocabulary teaching based on corpus resources, the scores of students in experimental class have been greatly improved. The research shows that the data-driven vocabulary teaching based on corpus resources can significantly improve the students' vocabulary learning effect, but the promotion of this method still needs the support of the education department and the improvement of teachers' professional theory knowledge.
