译林版《牛津高中英语》语法板块内容分析

【摘要】:语法学习是外语教学中不可或缺的环节,是提高外语学习者语言运用能力的基础和保障。目前,语法学习的必要性和重要性得到了外语教学界学者的普遍认可。自2005年9月以来,译林出版社出版的《牛津高中英语》作为统一教材被广泛应用于江苏省各市高中。该套教材中的GrammarandUsage板块是其重要组成部分,也是高中英语语法教学的主要内容和依据,对高中英语教学有着深远影响,因此对此套教材中的语法板块进行评价有着重要意义。本文以《普通高中英语课程标准》为依据,结合教材评价和语法教学相关理论,从外部评价和内部评价两个维度出发,旨在查明译林版《牛津高中英语》Grammar and Usage板块的编写特点,在实际教学中的使用情况及教材使用者对此板块的评价,并对今后的教材修订和教师有效使用教材进行语法教学提出建议。本文拟回答的问题有:(1)译林版《牛津高中英语》中GrammarandUsage板块的内容是如何设计的?(2)使用该套教材的教师和学生对GrammarandUsage板块内容设计的评价如何?教师在实际的教学中是如何使用该板块进行语法教学的?使用中存在的哪些问题? (3)译林版《牛津高中英语》中Grammar and Usage板块内容设计有哪些优点和缺点?研究发现:(1)译林版《牛津高中英语》GrammarandUsage板块的设计以单元话题为中心,与Reading板块相衔接,主要采取呈现-练习的设计思路。(2)调查显示,使用该套教材的师生能基本认同该板块的设计理念,认为该板块的设计可以满足其语法教学和学习的基本需要;在GrammarandUsage板块的实际教学中,由于教学压力和教材设计特点的影响,教师依然普遍采用传统授受的教学方法;教材中呈现的语法知识难度偏低、语法项目编排不够系统连贯是师生在使用该板块进行教学和学习中遇到的主要问题(3)译林版《牛津高中英语》Grammar and Usage板块设计的优点有:以话题为中心,在语法项目的选择、呈现和语法练习的设计上均反映了三维语法教学理念和《普通高中英语课程标准》倡导的基本理念和教学原则。该板块存在的缺陷主要包括语法项目编排不够系统连贯,语法练习形式较为单一,对语言运用能力的培养重视不足等问题。因此,针对Grammar and Usage板块的设计特点和使用中存在的问题,笔者建议相关部门应进一步调查了解师生需求,适当改进相关内容的设计,加强对教师开展语法板块教学的指导力度。教师应不断更新教育教学观念,提高专业素养,根据教学实际需要和学生特点,采取多样化的教学方法和策略,灵活地、创造性地使用Grammar and Usage板块,提高语法教学的质量和水平,促进学生语言运用能力的不断发展。
[Abstract]:Grammar learning is an indispensable link in foreign language teaching. At present, the necessity and importance of grammar learning has been generally recognized by foreign language teaching scholars. Since September 2005, Oxford High School English, published by Yilin Publishing House, has been widely used in senior high schools in Jiangsu Province. The GrammarandUsage section of this set of textbooks is an important part of it, and it is also the main content and basis of English grammar teaching in senior high school. It has a profound influence on English teaching in senior high school, so it is of great significance to evaluate the grammar plate in this set of textbooks. Based on the English Curriculum Standard of General Senior High School, combined with the theories of textbook evaluation and grammar teaching, this paper aims to find out the writing characteristics of the Grammar and Usage section in the translation edition of Oxford Senior High School English from two dimensions: external evaluation and internal evaluation. In the actual teaching situation and the textbook users' evaluation of this section, and to the future revision of teaching materials and teachers effective use of teaching materials for grammar teaching suggestions. The questions to be answered in this paper are as follows: (1) how is the content of the GrammarandUsage section designed in the translated edition of Oxford High School English? (2) how do the teachers and students who use the textbook evaluate the content design of the GrammarandUsage? How do teachers use this plate to teach grammar in practice? What are the problems in use? (3) what are the advantages and disadvantages of Grammar and Usage content design in Oxford High School English? The results are as follows: (1) the design of the GrammarandUsage section in the translation edition of Oxford High School English is centered on the unit topic, connected with the Reading plate, and mainly adopts the idea of presentation-practice design. (2) the survey shows that, The teachers and students who use this set of textbooks can basically agree with the design idea of the plate, and think that the design of the plate can meet the basic needs of grammar teaching and learning, in the actual teaching of GrammarandUsage, because of the pressure of teaching and the characteristics of textbook design, Teachers still generally adopt the traditional teaching methods, and the grammar knowledge presented in the teaching materials is relatively low. The main problems encountered by teachers and students in teaching and learning are that the grammatical items are not systematic and coherent. (3) the advantages of the Grammar and Usage block design of the translated edition of Oxford High School English are as follows: topic-centered, choice of grammatical items, Both the presentation and the design of grammar exercises reflect the basic ideas and teaching principles advocated by the three dimensional Grammar Teaching concept and the English Curriculum Standard of General Senior High School. The defects of this section include the lack of systematic coherence of grammatical items, the single form of grammatical practice and the insufficient attention to the cultivation of language use ability. Therefore, in view of the design characteristics and problems existing in the use of Grammar and Usage, the author suggests that the relevant departments should further investigate and understand the needs of teachers and students, appropriately improve the design of relevant contents, and strengthen the guidance for teachers to carry out grammar block teaching. Teachers should constantly renew their educational and teaching concepts, improve their professional qualities, adopt a variety of teaching methods and strategies according to their actual teaching needs and students' characteristics, and use the Grammar and Usage section flexibly and creatively. Improve the quality and level of grammar teaching, promote the continuous development of students' language use ability.
