欧洲消费者对转基因和基因编辑食品支付意愿的比较分析

发展农业生物技术是在可持续发展的背景下应对日益增长的粮食需求的一项重大举措。转基因食品的安全性一直饱受争议,近年来基因编辑技术的兴起引发了学者们对该技术应用前景以及公众对该技术的接受程度的关注。相对于传统育种的产品,转基因和基因编辑的农产品对健康和环境的影响具有不确定性,本研究基于调查数据比较分析欧洲消费者对基因编辑食品和转基因食品的支付意愿(WTP)及其影响因素。该调查由来自欧洲5个不同国家的134名消费者组成,调查内容涉及同源转基因小麦(基因编辑小麦)和转基因小麦,分析了消费者的支付意愿与其风险偏好、对健康的关注以及对政府信息的信任程度之间的关系。本文的主要发现是,欧洲消费者的WTP与他们的冒险习惯之间存在正相关关系。此外,反映这种相关性的数据显示,消费者对自身健康的高度关注会影响他们对转基因和基因编辑产品的接受程度。最后,消费者对政府的信任越多,他们的支付意愿就越高。尽管各国消费者偏好存在明显差异,但可以看出,在大多数情况下,消费者更喜欢消费传统食品而不是转基因食品。
