实际有效汇率与“口碑效应”:加拿大旅游服务贸易逆差例证

【摘要】：基于加拿大旅游服务贸易长期逆差的事实,选取了加拿大1986至2012年间国家旅游统计指标(NTI)的季度数据,运用协整检验和VAR系统建模方法,对影响加拿大旅游服务贸易出口、进口和贸易收支的原因进行了分析,研究发现:VAR系统建模实证得出加拿大旅游服务贸易逆差的主要因素是汇率弹性、汇率波动预期、本国居民收入弹性与旅游服务的"口碑效应";进出口对于汇率变动的马歇尔条件成立,加元贬值,有利于加拿大旅游服务贸易收支的改善;短期内,影响入境旅游业发展的因素主要是需求层面的汇率因素和国外收入因素,而实证结果显示,加拿大入境旅游对于收入的敏感性要远远大于对于汇率的敏感性。
[Abstract]:Based on the fact of Canada's long-term trade deficit in tourism services, this paper selects the quarterly data of Canada's national tourism statistics index from 1986 to 2012, and applies the co-integration test and VAR system modeling method to analyze the impact of Canada's tourism service trade exports.Based on the analysis of the causes of import and trade balance, it is found that the main factors of Canada's trade deficit in tourism services are exchange rate elasticity and exchange rate fluctuation expectation.Domestic residents' income elasticity and "word-of-mouth effect" of tourism services; the Marshall terms of import and export for exchange rate changes and the depreciation of the Canadian dollar are conducive to the improvement of Canada's trade balance in tourism services; in the short term,The factors influencing the development of inbound tourism are mainly the demand level exchange rate factor and the foreign income factor. The empirical results show that the Canadian inbound tourism is far more sensitive to income than to the exchange rate.
