汉英情态动词表达情态的对比研究

【摘要】： 语言的情态表达系统一直是语言研究,尤其是语法研究的重要内容。近年来已成为当代语言学研究的热门话题。本文主要运用认知语言学和功能主义语言学的基本理论,在梳理前人时贤对语言情态语义的分析和论述基础上,提出情态的定义和分类,对英语和现代汉语情态动词的名称、归类、划界标准等问题进行了剖析。接下来对二者情态动词表达的情态语义进行对比分析,然后阐释了英语和现代汉语情态动词表达情态的语用功能。最后归纳了本文所讨论的主要内容,并指出了本文存在的不足和缺憾,也提出了一些有待于进一步深入考察、分析和探究的问题。本文的研究从形式到功能,从描写到解释,多视角、多层次、全方位地对情态进行了解读,深化了对情态及情态动词的情态语义表达的认识,加深了对情态动词范畴及其成员语法、语义、语用特征的理解,为情态动词作为情态主要表达手段的情态系统,提供了具有类型学意义上的例证。希望通过这样的努力也能够为对外汉语教学提供一定的参考价值和借鉴意义。
[Abstract]:The modal expression system of language has always been an important part in language research, especially in grammar. In recent years, it has become a hot topic in the study of contemporary linguistics. Based on the basic theories of cognitive linguistics and functionalist linguistics, this paper proposes the definition and classification of modality and the names of modal verbs in English and modern Chinese. Classification, demarcation criteria and other issues were analyzed. Then the modal semantics of modal verbs are analyzed and the pragmatic functions of modal verbs in English and modern Chinese are explained. Finally, this paper summarizes the main contents of this paper, points out the shortcomings and shortcomings of this paper, and puts forward some problems that need to be further investigated, analyzed and explored. The research in this paper has interpreted modality from form to function, from description to explanation, from multiple perspectives, multi-levels and all directions, and deepened the understanding of modality and modal verb's modal semantic expression. It deepens the understanding of the category of modal verbs and their members' grammar, semantics, pragmatic features, and provides a typological example for the modal system of modal verbs as the main means of expression of modality. Hope that through such efforts can also provide a certain reference value and reference for teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
