中国留美本科学生社会适应性文化调查

【摘要】：美国《2010年门户开放报告》显示，2009-2010学年中国赴美学生增长近30%，在美学生近12.8万，时隔9年之后赶超印度，再次成为在美留学生总数排名第一的生源国。在这其中，留学本科生占31.3%，研究生占52.1%。在美本科留学生的人数由2009年的8,034人一年后激增为39,947人，，赴美读本科的学生已超越研究生成为主流。中国留学生留美数量大增与中国人民币增值，赴美留学生签证率宽松达90%，中国教育缺乏竞争及英语在中国日益普及都有关系，而中国高校残酷的升学竞争和有限的高校教育资源将进一步促使更多来自中产阶级的高中生选择开放的美国高校教育。在这种趋势下，年轻的本科留学生在美国高校的学习及文化适应问题则成为美国高等教育机构和中国本科留学生及其家长共同关注的热点。在这种背景下，本文研究了中国在美本科留学生的“民族认同"，"自我效能"，"不确定性规避"，以及"社会文化调整"之间的关系。此次研究中，共有62名（17至22岁）来自美国各地的12所大学和学院的中国本科留学生完成了网上问卷调查。数据分析展示了中国在美本科留学生的自我效能和他们的社会文化调整之间的正相关关系(r=.47, p .01)。中国在美本科留学生的不确定性规避与他们的自我效能感是负相关关系（r (62)=-.22, p .05），但与民族认同是正相关关系(r (62)=.23, p .05）。目前的研究不支持中国在美本科留学生的社会经济文化的调整与民族认同和不确定性规避呈负相关的假设。
[Abstract]:The US Open door report 2010 shows that Chinese students in the United States increased by nearly 30 percent in the 2009-2010 academic year, and nearly 128000 students in the United States. After nine years, they caught up with India and again became the number one student source country in the United States in terms of the total number of students studying in the United States. Among them, undergraduate students account for 31. 3 and graduate students account for 52. 1%. The number of undergraduate students in the United States has soared from 8034 in 2009 to 39947 a year later, and the number of undergraduate students in the United States has overtaken graduate students as the mainstream. The large increase in the number of Chinese students studying in the United States is related to the appreciation of the Chinese renminbi. The visa rate for foreign students in the United States is as loose as 90 percent. The lack of competition in Chinese education and the growing popularity of English in China are all related. The cruel competition and limited educational resources of Chinese colleges and universities will further encourage more middle class high school students to choose the open American higher education. Under this trend, the study and cultural adaptation of young undergraduate students in American colleges and universities have become the focus of common concern of American higher education institutions and Chinese undergraduate students and their parents. In this context, this paper studies the relationship between "national identity", "self-efficacy", "uncertainty avoidance" and "social and cultural adjustment" of Chinese undergraduate students in the United States. In the study, 62 Chinese undergraduates aged 17 to 22 completed an online survey of 12 Chinese undergraduate students from 12 universities and colleges across the United States. The data analysis shows the positive correlation between the self-efficacy of Chinese undergraduate students in the United States and their social and cultural adjustment. The uncertainty avoidance of Chinese undergraduate students in the United States is negatively related to their sense of self-efficacy. However, it is positively related to national identity. Current studies do not support the assumption that the social economic and cultural adjustment of Chinese undergraduate students in the United States is negatively correlated with national identity and uncertainty avoidance.
