基于霍特林模型变体的双寡头研究

【摘要】：对艾奇沃斯模型得出不稳定价格和产出的结论,霍特林建立一个空间模型并提出,市场存在运输成本时,价格和产出都唯一确定。霍特林模型为研究空间竞争问题提供一个经典的范式,但是模型本身不能解释两厂商的串谋。本文将放松原模型中消费者的刚性需求假定,先建立简易模型讨论单个消费者行为的变化,然后扩展到整个市场而引入需求密度函数,弱化区位竞争,重点考察单位运输成本,把研究角度锁定在价格博弈层面上,从而有效解释双寡头之间的串谋,并认为模型主体结论取决于单位运输成本。
[Abstract]:On the conclusion of unstable price and output of Achworth model, Hotling establishes a spatial model and puts forward that when there is transportation cost in the market, both price and output are determined only.The Hotling model provides a classical paradigm for the study of spatial competition, but the model itself cannot explain the collusion between the two firms.In this paper, the assumption of rigid demand of consumers in the original model is relaxed, a simple model is established to discuss the change of individual consumer behavior, and then the demand density function is introduced to the whole market, which weakens the regional competition and focuses on the unit transportation cost.In order to explain the collusion between duopoly effectively, it is considered that the main conclusion of the model depends on the unit transportation cost.
