[Abstract]:The study and Prospect of Rural Institution in China Zhao Xiuling as far as the study of ancient Chinese political system is concerned, researchers mostly focus on the discussion of political system above the county level, and pay little attention to the rural system. There are four reasons for this: one is that in most dynasties the township is not a first-level administrative regime, it is a supplement to the administrative power below the county level; the other is that the township system lacks the standardization and integrity of the system above the county level.
