《我的教育之路》(节选)汉译实践报告

传记文学以鲜明的人物形象,生动的情节和优美的语言吸引了广泛的读者群体。传记文学汉译可以帮助中国读者了解英语国家文化背景、社会面貌,是中西方文化交流的桥梁。本文以美国作家塔拉·韦斯托弗的自传体小说《我的教育之路》汉译为例,探讨翻译补偿在传记文学文本汉译中的运用。传记文学翻译要兼顾源语文本的“纪实性”和“文学性”,即翻译要传达出原文本的客观事实,又要重视其文化背景和文学价值。翻译补偿主张通过各种手段补偿翻译过程中造成的损失,确保译文完整传达源语信息、意义、文化因素和审美价值。由此看来,翻译补偿对指导本次翻译实践具有可行性和适用性。本文描述了翻译任务和翻译实践的过程,回顾了国内外学者在翻译补偿方面的研究成果,从文化、交际、审美三个层面探讨翻译补偿理论对本次实践的指导。本文认为,准确把握翻译补偿理论,根据文本特征选用合适的补偿策略,既可弥补两种语言转换造成的信息差,恢复原文与译文、源语与目的语文化之间的均衡状态,还可以还原译文的真实情境与情感,通过恰当的补偿,在翻译中展现西方文化的艺术魅力。笔者希望本文能为传记文学翻译提供些许参考。
