《历史与和解》翻译实践报告

【摘要】：本次翻译实践的原文文本选自东京大学出版社于2011年出版的一部论文集——《历史与和解》。来自不同国家,拥有不同身份的人从不同的角度出发围绕"历史"与"和解"进行了阐述。该论文集不仅探讨了日本与英国、日本与韩国、日本与中国之间的历史与和解,还从对比的角度纳入了法国与德国、德国与波兰、法国与阿尔及利亚、以及英国与爱尔兰之间的历史与和解。该论文集的翻译将有助于我们了解世界各地不同背景下的历史与和解,客观看待中国与日本或是东亚的和解历程。在本次翻译实践报告中,笔者针对该论文集的第三章"围绕历史的对话与和解"部分内容的翻译进行了总结。对论文的翻译,笔者认为应当根据不同的翻译目的作出恰当的处理,因此在翻译过程中选取了德国功能派翻译理论的目的论作为指导理论。翻译目的论认为翻译是一种有目的的行为,译者可以根据不同的翻译目的灵活采取翻译策略。笔者采用的翻译策略为纽马克的语义翻译与交际翻译。结合翻译目的论,在涉及原文作者个人观点或原文特色之处尽量采取语义翻译,以再现原文作者的思维过程;而对客观论述的部分则尽量考虑目标语文化及语言习惯,选择交际翻译的策略。在实际的翻译过程中,笔者发现语义翻译与交际翻译只有在目的论的指导下才能发挥最大作用。本报告第一部分为引言,概括性地阐述了该翻译实践的意义、翻译理论选择的背景以及本篇实践报告的核心内容。第二部分为翻译的过程。主要阐述了译者的主体性、译前的准备工作以及具体的翻译流程。第三部分为翻译理论的阐述。主要为翻译目的论、语义翻译与交际翻译。第四部分为翻译实例的分析与考察。通过具体的事例来论述所使用的理论与策略。第五部分为结论,阐述了本次翻译实践的心得以及今后努力的方向。
[Abstract]:The original text of the translation practice is selected from a collection of essays published by Tokyo University Press in 2011, History and Reconciliation. From different countries, people with different identities have elaborated on "history" and "reconciliation" from different angles. The anthology not only explores the history and reconciliation between Japan and Britain, Japan and South Korea, Japan and China, but also includes France and Germany, Germany and Poland, France and Algeria from a comparative perspective. And the history and reconciliation between Britain and Ireland. The translation of the anthology will help us to understand the history and reconciliation in different backgrounds around the world and to look objectively at the reconciliation process between China and Japan or East Asia. In this translation practice report, the author summarizes the translation of the third chapter of the anthology, "Dialogue and Reconciliation around History". Therefore, the Skopos theory of German functionalist translation theory is chosen as the guiding theory in the process of translation. Skopos theory holds that translation is a purposeful act, and translators can adopt translation strategies flexibly according to different translation purposes. The translation strategy adopted by the author is Newmark's semantic translation and communicative translation. In the light of Skopos Theory, semantic translation is adopted to reproduce the thinking process of the author of the original text, where the author's personal point of view or the features of the original text are involved. In the part of objective discussion, we try to consider the culture and language habits of the target language and choose the strategies of communicative translation. In the practical translation process, the author finds that semantic translation and communicative translation can play the most role only under the guidance of Skopos Theory. The first part of this report is an introduction, which summarizes the significance of the translation practice, the background of translation theory selection and the core content of this practical report. The second part is the process of translation. This paper mainly expounds the translator's subjectivity, pre-translation preparation and specific translation process. The third part is the explanation of translation theory. Mainly for Skopos theory, semantic translation and communicative translation. The fourth part is the analysis and investigation of translation examples. Through specific examples to discuss the use of the theory and strategy. The fifth part is the conclusion, expounding the experience of the translation practice and the direction of the future efforts.
