赴美国际汉语教师跨文化适应性问题研究

【摘要】:在中国经济快速稳步发展,国力增强,国际影响力增大的背景下,中华文化在世界范围的影响也随之越来越大,全世界掀起学习汉语的热潮,国家汉办赴美汉语教学志愿者这个项目就是很好的一个例子。该项目由国家汉办/孔子学院总部和美国大学理事会合作举办,自2006年启动以来至2011年5月份止,已从中国选派了970多名教师赴美国中小学进行汉语教学和中国文化推广活动。而随着赴美汉语志愿者人数逐年增多,赴美志愿者所面临的诸如课堂管理,,教学法,跨文化适应等种种问题凸显出来,其中最大的挑战是对美国文化的不熟悉,跨文化适应难。因此他们最希望获得跨文化交际适应相关知识的培训。身为一名2010-2011年度赴美汉语志愿者教师能够切身体会到此问题的严重,为避免可能因此导致汉语教学效果受影响、汉语志愿者压力巨大等后果发生,及时地关注汉语志愿者的跨文化适应问题并采取相应措施成为当务之急。 本论文以赴美国际汉语教师志愿者的跨文化培训、赴美时间长短两个关键因素为出发点,从赴美汉语志愿者教师社会文化适应程度与心理适应程度之间的关系展开研究,以验证跨文化适应模式理论;同时研究在美汉语教师志愿者的社会文化适应与心理适应状况随赴美时间长短是否呈现正相关,来验证跨文化培训是否对汉语志愿者适应情况产生影响;最后结合结果讨论提出国家汉办等相关机构改善赴美汉语志愿者跨文化适应培训策略的建议。
[Abstract]:Under the background of the rapid and steady development of China's economy, the enhancement of its national strength and the increase of its international influence, the influence of Chinese culture in the world has become more and more great. The whole world has set off an upsurge in learning Chinese.A good example is the National Han Office volunteer program for teaching Chinese in the United States.The project was jointly organized by the National Han Office / Confucius Institute headquarters and the American University Council. From its inception in 2006 to May 2011, more than 970 teachers from China have been selected to teach Chinese and promote Chinese culture in primary and secondary schools in the United States.As the number of Chinese volunteers in the United States increases year by year, such problems as classroom management, teaching methods, cross-cultural adaptation and so on are highlighted, among which the biggest challenge is the lack of familiarity with American culture and the difficulty of cross-cultural adaptation.Therefore, they most want to get cross-cultural communication to adapt to relevant knowledge training.As a Chinese volunteer teacher in the United States in 2010-2011, he can personally realize the seriousness of the problem. In order to avoid the possible impact on the effectiveness of Chinese language teaching, Chinese volunteers are under tremendous pressure and other consequences.It is urgent to pay attention to the cross-cultural adaptation of Chinese volunteers and take corresponding measures.Based on the two key factors of international Chinese teacher volunteers' cross-cultural training and length of stay in the United States, this paper studies the relationship between the degree of sociocultural adaptation and the degree of psychological adaptation of Chinese teachers to the United States.In order to verify the theory of cross-cultural adaptation model, and to study whether the sociocultural adaptation and psychological adaptation of Chinese teachers in the United States are positively correlated with the length of time spent in the United States,In order to verify whether cross-cultural training has an impact on the adaptation of Chinese volunteers. Finally, the paper puts forward some suggestions on how to improve the cross-cultural training strategies of Chinese volunteers in the United States.
