基于语料库的“人生”隐喻英汉对比研究

【摘要】：莱考夫和约翰逊在其1980年的巨著《我们赖以生存的隐喻》中首次构建起 概念隐喻理论‖的框架，从而引发了学界对隐喻机制热烈的讨论。本文在概念隐喻理论和意象图式结构的框架下，试图运用语料库方法对英汉人生隐喻进行对比研究，旨在发现英汉在理解人生隐喻乃至人生观理解上的共性与差异，并探索其背后的深层原因。 研究发现，在人生概念与其他概念的隐喻映射中，目标-路径图式(PATH)起了主导性作用。在该图式的制约下，不同的隐喻概念对人生的理解有不同的影响。以上是两种语言之间的共性。不同的是，英语中容器图示也对人生隐喻的映射起到一定影响，而且超过半数的人生概念是以个人所有物的概念呈现的。而在汉语中，人生没有体现出较强的个人所有物的特征，相反，对人生的认识受到主流价值观的影响较大。在人生观的问题上，符合社会要求的观念以教育的方式影响个体。这种差异主要是由英汉两种文化价值观的不同导致的。前者强调个人主义的思想，而后者以集体主义观念为中心。 本文的主要创新之处有两点。第一，在研究方法上采用语料库的方法，这在传统的以内省为主的人生隐喻研究中有一定的创新意义。语料主要来源于英语国家语料库和北大现代汉语语料库，，数据全面，真实可靠。第二点创新在于，研究结论反映了语言的实际使用情况。比如在研究英汉人生隐喻差异时，本文发现最大的差异并不在于哪些具体概念用来理解人生，而在于看待人生的角度不同。这些角度的不同主要是由于文化价值观上个人主义与集体主义的差异导致的。
