从傅译《比哀兰德》探析傅雷的翻译特色

【摘要】:傅雷作为中国现代以来杰出的翻译家,以极高的文学修养和翻译造诣为中国的读者展现了法兰西文化中优秀的作品,打开了中国与法国文化、艺术交流的大门。傅雷是一位注重翻译实践,不讲“主义”的学者,他以朴素的翻译态度,为世人带来了一部部精彩的译作。他标举的“神似”翻译特色是本文的研究中心,傅译《比哀兰德》是本文研究的主要材料。本文以“副文本”和“外文本”理论为依托,试从正文本、副文本以及外文本视角探析傅雷的翻译特色。 第一章,从《比哀兰德》的正文本出发,我们以实例分析的研究手段展示出了傅雷“神似”的翻译特色的具体表现,并将之与高名凯的《毕爱丽黛》译本做出比较,我们得出:无论从词义选择的精当,用词的丰富,词类转换的多变,或是从句子的顺序安排,句子的增删或者结构的安排来说,傅雷的译文都要比高名凯的译文显得更加“神似”。比起傅雷灵活多变的手法和表现方式,高名凯的译文更加与原文“形似”。这种形似体现在词义的选择,以及句子的结构上,但是过多地依照原文的构建,也使得高的译本失去了中文的特色。另外,傅雷对于文化语境中的处理更加出彩,他转换语言单位,将俗语和谚语进行改写或创造,将宗教术语和比喻进行处理,都是为了读者能够更好地理解原文。他的译本流畅通顺,给读者以审美的享受。 第二章,从副文本和外文本的角度诠释傅雷的“神似”,主要引用了傅雷在翻译过程中留下的各类副文本和外文本,包括傅雷的译者序、注释、标题、艺术评论以及书信等。从傅雷“神似”的翻译观着手,本文分析了“神似”的来源,“神似”翻译特色的内涵,傅雷所阐述的“神似”的实现前提以及“神似”的实现过程。傅雷“神似”的实现过程体现在文本的选择、翻译的进行以及译后的修改和检验之中。这三步体现了译者为了达成“神似”而做出的努力,进一步探析傅雷是如何将“神似”的翻译特色运用到巴尔扎克作品的翻译中。 通过正文本的比较与分析到副文本和外文本的解析,我们相对全面地了解了傅译特色。傅雷的翻译的态度和目标贯穿其翻译实践过程之中,这使得傅译本能准确和传神地再现原作的意义与神韵。傅雷“神似”的译本不仅为其他译者提供了重要参照,推动了巴氏文学在中国的传播,也为中国翻译理论的发展注入了活力。
[Abstract]:Fu Lei, as an outstanding translator since modern China, has displayed outstanding works in French culture for Chinese readers with high literary accomplishment and translation attainments, and has opened up Chinese and French culture. Fu Lei is a scholar who pays much attention to translation practice and does not talk about "doctrine". With a simple translation attitude, Fu Lei has brought a wonderful translation work to the world. Based on the theory of "secondary text" and "foreign text", this paper tries to explore Fu Lei's translation characteristics from the perspective of text, text and foreign text. In the first chapter, starting from the authentic text of Biere Rand, we show the concrete expression of Fu Lei's translation characteristics of "Divine likeness" by the means of case analysis, and compare it with the translation of Gao Mingkai's "Bi Ai Li Dai". We draw the following conclusions: whether from the choice of word meaning, the rich use of words, the variety of parts of speech, or the order of sentences, the addition and deletion of sentences or the arrangement of structure, The translation of Fu Lei is more "likeness" than the translation of Gao Mingkai. Rather than the flexible and changeable way of expression and method of expression, the translation of Fu Lei is more "similar" to the original text. This similarity is reflected in the choice of word meaning and the structure of the sentence. But too much construction according to the original text also made the high translation lose its Chinese character. In addition, Fu Lei's handling of the cultural context was even more remarkable. He changed language units and rewritten or created idioms and proverbs. The purpose of dealing with religious terms and metaphors is for the readers to better understand the original text. The second chapter interprets Fu Lei's "Divine likeness" from the perspective of the accessory text and the foreign text, mainly quoting all kinds of subsidiary texts and foreign texts left by Fu Lei in the process of translation, including the translator's preface, annotation, title, etc. Based on Fu Lei's translation concept of "god likeness", this paper analyzes the source of "god likeness" and the connotation of translation characteristics of "god likeness". Fu Lei elaborated the premise of the realization of "divine likeness" and the realization process of "divine likeness". The realization process of Fu Lei's "divine likeness" is embodied in the choice of the text. These three steps reflect the translator's efforts to achieve "divine likeness", and further explore how Fu Lei applies the translation features of "iconicity" to the translation of Balzac's works. Through the comparison and analysis of the positive text to the parse of the secondary text and the foreign text, we have a relatively comprehensive understanding of the features of Fu translation. Fu Lei's attitude and goal in translation runs through his translation practice. This enables Fu's translation to accurately and vividly reproduce the meaning and charm of the original work. Fu Lei's version of "Divine similarity" not only provides important references for other translators, but also promotes the spread of Pasteurian literature in China. It has also injected vitality into the development of Chinese translation theory.
