基于语料库的《孔雀东南飞》英译文研究

【摘要】：《孔雀东南飞》是我国文学史上第一首长篇叙事诗，同时也是我国古代最长的一首叙事诗。该诗情节生动感人结构完整紧凑语言活泼优美，，思想性和文学性兼具。通过焦仲卿和刘兰芝的婚姻悲剧有力地揭露了封建礼教和封建家长制的罪恶。诗歌运用了排比互文等多种修辞手法，在增强了艺术观赏性的同时，也为其翻译增加了很大困难。《孔雀东南飞》有多个版本的英译文，国内有许渊冲汪榕培等译本,国外亦有阿瑟·韦利伯顿·华兹生等译文，这些译文有的以精准见长，有的以流畅著称，各具特色，难分伯仲。目前关于《孔雀东南飞》英译本研究的论文往往局限于标题翻译或者是其中某个句子或段落的翻译，这些论文大多是印象式的感性批评，这种单纯的定性研究方法有可能过于主观、片面、缺乏说服力。语料库翻译学是最近十几年兴起的一门新学科，它融合了描述性翻译研究与语料库语言学的思想和方法，以语言学理论和翻译理论作为指导，为翻译研究提供了一种新的思路和手段。本研究选取《孔雀东南飞》的三个英译本—阿瑟·韦利安妮·柏丽尔和许渊冲译本为语料，建立了三个小型的平行语料库。把定性分析与定量分析相结合，以罗曼·雅克布逊翻译理论和翻译共性等理论为指导，从词汇句子和语篇三个维度对三个英译本做了分析和研究，研究发现韦利译文形符数最多，较多地使用了功能词汇，尤其是连词使用比例远高于其他两个译文。他的译文词汇密度最小，但动词和形容词的使用比例高于其他两个译文；柏丽尔译文词汇密度最高，且译文名词使用比例高于其他两个译文，相较于其他两个译文，她的译文可读性稍差；许渊冲译文形符数最少，使用的功能词汇最少，但他的译文较多地运用了不太常用的词汇。总体来说，三个译文都在不同程度上呈现出显化简化和范化的倾向。
[Abstract]:"Peacock flying southeast" is the first long narrative poem in the history of Chinese literature, and it is also the longest narrative poem in ancient China. The plot of the poem is vivid and moving? Complete and compact? Language is lively and beautiful, ideological and literary. Through the marriage tragedy of Jiao Zhongqing and Liu Lanzhi, the evil of feudal ethics and feudal patriarchal system is revealed. Does poetry use parallelism? Various rhetorical devices, such as intertextuality, not only enhance the artistic appreciation, but also add great difficulties to their translation. There are many versions of English translation of Peacock Southeastern Flight, and Xu Yuanchong in China? Wang Rongpei and other translations, there are also Arthur Wally abroad? Burton Wordson and other translations, some for accuracy, some for fluency, each has its own characteristics. At present, the studies on the translation of Peacock into English are often confined to the translation of the title or the translation of a sentence or paragraph. Most of these papers are perceptual criticism of impressions. This simple qualitative research method may be too subjective, one-sided and lacking persuasion. Corpus translation is a new discipline which has emerged in recent years. It combines the ideas and methods of descriptive translation and corpus linguistics, and is guided by linguistic theory and translation theory. It provides a new way of thinking and means for translation studies. In this study, three English translations of Peacock fly to the Southeast, Arthur Willie, are selected. Anne Burrell and Xu Yuanchong have built up three small parallel corpus. Combining qualitative analysis with quantitative analysis, and guided by Roman Jacobson's translation theory and translation generality theory, this paper attempts to analyze the vocabulary from the perspective of lexical analysis. The three dimensions of sentence and text are analyzed and studied in three English versions. It is found that Wally has the largest number of morphologies and uses more functional words especially conjunctions than the other two versions. His translation has the lowest lexical density, but the use of verbs and adjectives is higher than that of the other two; Beryl's translation has the highest lexical density, and the translation of nouns is higher than the other two, compared to the other two. Her translation is slightly less readable; Xu Yuanchong has the least number of characters and the least number of functional words, but his translation uses less commonly used words. In general, the three translations are manifested in varying degrees? The tendency to simplify and normalize.
