《克罗斯夫人与基德夫人》和《普鲁》翻译实践报告

【摘要】：本次翻译实践报告选取了小说集《木卫星》中的两篇短篇小说作为实践文本,即《克罗斯夫人与基德夫人》和《普鲁》。该小说集作者爱丽丝·门罗是加拿大著名短篇小说家,更是2013年诺贝尔文学奖获得者。指导本次翻译实践的主要翻译理论为奈达的功能对等理论,翻译报告中简要介绍了该理论的提出及其主要内容,主要论述了作者如何在该翻译理论指导下,通过运用转译法、省略法、增补法等翻译技巧,较为妥善地处理原文中的文化因素、修辞手法和长难句等翻译难题,使译文在忠于原作的基础上最大限度地便于中国读者的理解。本次翻译实践是针对所选文本探索最佳翻译策略的过程,也是呈现翻译成果供读者品评指正的尝试,更是对爱丽丝·门罗作品的一次近距离解读。此外,此次翻译实践是对译者已学翻译知识的检测。译者从中积累了翻译经验,也看到了自己翻译能力的不足,找到了知识缺口,它是译者追求进步,努力成为一名合格译员道路上的里程碑。
[Abstract]:The translation practice report selects two short stories from the novel Collection Woodsatellite as practical texts, that is, Mrs. Cross and Mrs. Kidd and Pru. Alice Monroe is a famous Canadian short story writer and winner of the 2013 Nobel Prize for Literature. The main translation theory guiding this translation practice is Nida's functional equivalence theory. In the translation report, the author briefly introduces the theory and its main contents, and mainly discusses how the author applies the translation method under the guidance of the translation theory. The translation techniques, such as ellipsis and supplement, can deal with the cultural factors, rhetorical devices and long difficult sentences in the source text properly, so that the translation can be understood by Chinese readers to the maximum extent on the basis of loyalty to the original text. This translation practice is a process of exploring the best translation strategy for the selected text, an attempt to present translation results for readers to judge and correct, and a close interpretation of Alice Monroe's works. In addition, the translation practice is a test of the translator's knowledge of translation. The translator has accumulated translation experience and found a knowledge gap. It is a milestone on the way for the translator to pursue progress and strive to become a qualified translator.
