【摘要】：抗日战争时期的翻译活动由于受到战争因素的制约而处于一个相对的低谷期，从而导致了对该时期翻译活动研究的缺乏。但是，这并不表示这段时期的翻译活动缺乏研究价值。相反，该时期的翻译活动由于受到特殊历史时期的影响，呈现出诸多的特点。《时与潮文艺》作为当时发表翻译文学的一份重要刊物，，主要译介英、美、苏联等国文学作品。然而，现有对该期刊乃至整个抗战时期翻译活动的研究主要集中在对研究对象进行整体介绍方面，而鲜有深入到文本层面对翻译特点、策略和手法等方面进行透彻的分析。鉴于此，本文试图对《时与潮文艺》中英国小说的译介进行系统的分析，意图揭示《时与潮文艺》在英国小说译介方面的特点和翻译手法，为抗战时期文学翻译活动的研究做贡献。本文首先从宏观层面考察时代背景和主流意识形态，在此基础之上探讨包括《时与潮文艺》在内的翻译活动所受到的影响，然后基于史料收集讨论《时与潮文艺》在英国小说翻译所取得的翻译成果，并由此推导其翻译特点和影响；在微观层面上，本文从目的论的理论视角解释了《时与潮文艺》在翻译英国小说时对翻译策略的选择，并结合文本分析进行例证。本文意图通过宏观和微观两方面的研究全面揭示《时与潮文艺》在译介英国小说方面所取得成果，希望对填补现有翻译研究在这一方面的空缺有所借鉴，同时抛砖引玉，希望借此将更多研究者的目光吸引到抗战时期的翻译活动中来。
