【摘要】：二十世纪初是新文化运动全盛的重要时期，期间所译介的大量有关西方的书籍是中西文化交流的主要载体。这一时期本有多种思想及文化的选择，但在宏大叙事的影响下，，中国现代翻译文学史的书写忽略了学衡派这一重要译介群体的翻译活动。因不合新文化运动主流，他们在翻译方面的贡献也被长期遮蔽了。本文作者认为，在基本肯定新文化主流历史选择的同时，不能简单否定学衡派翻译的价值。 为弥补宏大叙事的不足，本文探讨了《学衡》杂志英诗翻译的语言规范，进而揭示出规范建立的途径及原因。微观层面，从《学衡》英诗翻译文本的词汇、句法和文体三个方面进行了深入细致的分析，并由此重构了主导学衡派英诗翻译的语言规范。宏观层面，通过相关副文本和元文本的研究，将学衡派的翻译活动置于特定的历史文化语境，从而探究规范建立的途径及原因。通过将微观文本分析与宏观历史文化语境相结合，揭示中国英诗翻译长期被遗忘的另一面。 此外，现有的翻译规范研究大多聚焦于规范对文本的制约，或对特定历史文化语境下主流翻译规范的梳理，少有对特定翻译群体的探讨，更不用说违背主流规范的群体。有鉴于此，本文试图通过客观阐述制约学衡群体翻译活动的语言规范，弥补国内对新文化运动时期非主流翻译规范研究的不足，以期对二十世纪上半叶中国文学翻译界中被遮蔽的另面景观——学衡派翻译规范的建构有所借鉴。
