比较《荆棘鸟》与《呼啸山庄》的爱情悲剧

【摘要】：《荆棘鸟》与《呼啸山庄》是两部讲述爱情“传奇”的小说,两部小说都讲述了一个缠绵悱恻、感人肺腑的爱情故事,这个故事又以悲剧为结局。在文学研究中,爱情悲剧的比较是一个重要的课题,许多的文章从人物形象、悲剧主题、悲剧风格和悲剧折射出的文化对中西爱情悲剧的代表作进行过比较。而对于《荆棘鸟》和《呼啸山庄》这两部同是女性作家创作、具有相似文化背景的小说,我们将主要运用比较文学的相关知识,从三个方面进行比较。首先,两部小说的爱情悲剧表现在三个方面:第一,爱而不得、得而不爱的困惑,女主人公得不到自己喜欢的人,得到的人却不爱,内心产生困惑与迷惘;第二,分裂的人格,煎熬的灵魂,强烈的爱欲被残酷的现实压抑,致使主人公人格分裂,灵魂备受煎熬;第三,悲剧结局,主人公为爱付出沉重的代价,为爱而生为爱而死。其次,分析两部小说爱情悲剧的原因,两部小说爱情不幸的内在原因都是由于主人公对权势财富的贪婪,但贪婪的出发点是不同的。对拉尔夫来说,这是拉尔夫一贯的追求,是男人的本性使然。而凯瑟琳对财富地位的贪求出于女性自身的弱势,是社会使然。造成《荆棘鸟》爱情悲剧的外部原因主要是宗教的禁欲主义,天主教不允许教士结婚;造成《呼啸山庄》爱情悲剧的外在原因是男权社会讲究等级门第的婚姻观念。最后,从爱情悲剧来看两位作家的爱情婚姻观和女性观。两位女作家都认为爱情是男女双方情投意合、心心相印,婚姻要以爱情为基础,反对讲究门第等级的婚姻观念。不同的是,考琳·麦卡洛主张在遵守社会既有规范下的人间之爱,艾米莉主张超越世俗、超人间的灵魂之爱,精神之爱。艾米莉和考琳·麦卡洛的小说都体现出反抗男权制歧视欺压女性、争取女性权利、追求女性个性自由和人格独立的女性观。不同之处在于,艾米莉的女性意识比考琳·麦卡洛更坚决更彻底,考琳·麦卡洛认同男权社会以男性为中心的观点,遵循传统只是反抗其不合理不公正之处;艾米莉对男权社会却是坚决的反抗,以叛逆者形象出现。考琳·麦卡洛是不完全的女性主义者,她的观点较现实,能够被认同和接受。艾米莉是比较彻底的女性主义者,但是她的观点在当时不会被接受也行不通,只能是绝望的反抗,无力的叛逆。
[Abstract]:Thorns Bird and Wuthering Heights are two novels about love "legend". Both novels tell a sentimental and emotional love story, which ends with tragedy. In literary research, the comparison of love tragedy is an important subject. Many articles have compared the representative works of Chinese and Western love tragedies from characters, tragic themes, tragic styles and cultures reflected by tragedies. As for the two novels written by female writers with similar cultural background, we will mainly use the relative knowledge of comparative literature and compare them from three aspects. First of all, the love tragedy of the two novels is manifested in three aspects: first, the confusion of love and not love, the heroine can not get the person she likes, but the person she gets does not love, the heart is confused and confused; the second, split personality, Suffering soul, strong desire for love is repressed by cruel reality, leading to personality split, soul suffering; third, tragic outcome, the protagonist pays a heavy price for love, and lives for love and dies for love. Secondly, the causes of love tragedy in the two novels are analyzed. The inner cause of love misfortune in the two novels is due to the hero's greed for power and wealth, but the starting point of greed is different. For Ralph, this is Ralph's constant pursuit, the result of man's nature. Catherine's desire for wealth is due to the weakness of women themselves and is the result of society. The external cause of love tragedy is mainly religious asceticism, Catholicism does not allow priests to marry, and the external cause of Wuthering Heights love tragedy is the patriarchal marriage concept. Finally, from the view of love tragedy, the two writers' view of love and marriage and the view of women. Both women writers believe that love is a kind of marriage between men and women. Marriage should be based on love and oppose the idea of hierarchical marriage. The difference is that Colleen McCullough advocates the love of the world under the existing norms of society, while Emily advocates transcending the worldly, transcendental love of the soul and the love of the spirit. Emily and Corinne McCullough's novels both reflect the view of women who resist patriarchal discrimination and bully women, strive for women's rights, pursue women's personality freedom and personality independence. The difference is that Emily's female consciousness is more resolute and thorough than Corleone McCullough. Corinne McCullough agrees with the male-centered view of the patriarchal society, and follows the tradition only to resist its unreasonable and unjust point of view; Emily opposed the patriarchal society firmly and appeared as a traitor. Corinne McCullough is an incomplete feminist whose views are more realistic and can be accepted and accepted. Emily is a more radical feminist, but her views were not accepted nor worked out at the time, but only as desperate revolts and powerless rebellions.
