阐释学视角下《西游记》余国藩译本译者主体性研究

《西游记》作为中国古典四大名著之一,是享誉中外的中国古代小说代表。随着跨文化交流的日益频繁,这部中国传统文化的代表之作被越来越多的研究者发掘并翻译成多种语言。作为一名文学与宗教学家,美籍华人余国藩的英文全译本为《西游记》英译提供了一个绝佳典范,受到了广泛赞誉。《西游记》描绘了一个儒、释、道三教合一的世界,蕴含着丰富的宗教思想,对宗教文化的理解影响着对整部作品的理解。阐释学是一门涉及解释与理解的哲学,与翻译之间的联系实属天然。乔治·斯坦纳作为阐释学的代表人物之一,提出了“信任”、“侵入”、“吸收”、“补偿”的阐释学运作四步骤,从译者的角度出发,使翻译过程具体化,为指导翻译实践提供了一个有益视角。本研究通过分析余国藩的译者序言、注释以及相关评论文章,以阐释学运作四步骤为理论视角,以《西游记》余译本中道教术语的翻译实例为语料,按照神人称谓、教理典籍、服食炼养、科仪服饰、器物法术、体位身神、宫观圣境七种类型对其进行分类,通过描述每类道教术语的原文与译文,并分析余国藩所采取的相应翻译方法与翻译策略,试图探究《西游记》余译本译者主体性在“信任”、“侵入”、“吸收”、“补偿”四步骤中的具体体现。研究...
