【摘要】：顿悟是成长小说《一个青年艺术家的肖像》的鲜明特色。《一个青年艺术家的肖像》成功的运用了类似散文体的写作风格，对主人公意识的展现、对性的描写、对宗教的批评以及对整个民族性的批判使这部小说有了更多的内涵。然而，这部成长小说的独特之处更在于乔伊斯将顿悟这一宗教用语成功的移植到文学作品中，极大丰富了顿悟的内涵。顿悟是这部小说一个鲜明的特色，，也是理解这部小说的重要因素。理解斯蒂芬顿悟的内涵是解读顿悟的关键因素。《一个青年艺术家的肖像》记录了主人中斯蒂芬从咿呀学语到独立思考的成长历程，其间夹杂着主人公对自身及外部环境的思考，顿悟就是成长中的一个重要节点。斯蒂芬从压抑的环境中逐渐走出来，决心投身艺术创作，摆脱掉一切桎梏，无论这种桎梏是来自社会、宗教还是自己的家庭。主人公的顿悟出现在该小说第四章的结尾部分，该处的顿悟意味着斯蒂芬灵魂的觉醒，预示着斯蒂芬即将离开祖国，投身文学创作。斯蒂芬的顿悟的内涵是本论文的主要研究对象，剖析引起顿悟的内部原因和外部原因以及顿悟的实质是本论文的核心部分。虽然主人公的顿悟出现在小说第四章结尾，但是此前有一个很长的累积阶段，这一缓慢的累积阶段对理解顿悟的内外诱因及其实质非常重要，不可忽略。内外诱因在主人公的成长过程中逐渐发挥作用，最终导致了顿悟的发生。已有的学术研究对斯蒂芬顿悟的研究大多集中在乔伊斯的写作手法上，也就是说重点关注作者是如何呈现顿悟，而不是顿悟本身及其内涵。笔者拟将重点放在顿悟本身，力求论述顿悟的内涵，希望能够为更细致的解读《一个青年艺术家的肖像》提供另一个视角。
[Abstract]:Epiphany is the distinctive feature of the growing up novel "Portrait of a Young Artist". "A Portrait of a Young Artist" successfully uses the style of writing similar to the style of prose, shows the consciousness of the protagonist, and describes sex. The criticism of religion and the criticism of the whole nationality make the novel have more connotations. The unique feature of this growth novel lies in Joyce's successful transplantation of epiphany, a religious term, into literary works, which greatly enriches the connotation of epiphany. Epiphany is a distinctive feature of the novel. Understanding the connotation of Stephen's epiphany is the key factor in interpreting the epiphany. The Portrait of a Young Artist records Stephen's growth from babbling to independent thinking in his master, in which the protagonist thinks about himself and his external environment. Epiphany is an important node in growth. Stephen gradually emerged from the oppressive environment, determined to devote himself to artistic creation and get rid of all the shackles, whether it comes from society. Religion is still his family. The hero's epiphany appears at the end of the 4th chapter of the novel, where the epiphany signifies the awakening of Stephen's soul and the impending departure of Stephen from his homeland. The connotation of Stephen's epiphany is the main research object of this thesis. The analysis of the internal and external causes of the epiphany and the essence of the epiphany are the core of this thesis. Although the protagonist's epiphany appears at the end of Chapter 4th of the novel, there is a long cumulative stage before that. This slow accumulation stage is very important for understanding the internal and external inducement and its essence of epiphany, which can not be ignored. The internal and external inducement gradually plays a role in the growth of the protagonist, and finally leads to the occurrence of the epiphany. Most of the existing academic studies on Stephen's epiphany focus on Joyce's writing techniques, that is to say, focus on how the author presents an epiphany. Instead of the epiphany itself and its connotation, the author intends to focus on the epiphany itself and try to discuss the connotation of the epiphany, hoping to provide another perspective for a more detailed interpretation of the Portrait of a Young Artist.
