【摘要】：《卡斯特桥市长》是19世纪、英国著名小说家托马斯哈代的经典代表作之一。小说描述了主人公大起大落的生命历程,着力刻化了主人公亨查德的形象,使之成为人类小说史上伟大的悲剧英雄之一。文学批评家对托马斯哈代,及其代表作《卡斯特桥市长》的研究不胜枚举,但是结合语用学分析这部小说的会话含义去很少有人涉及。本文综述了有关《卡斯特桥市长》的文学批评及研究,分析了从语用学的角度研究《卡斯特桥市长》中人物对话会话含义的可行性和必要性。本文以格莱斯的合作原则和利奇的礼貌准则为理论基础,分析小说中主要人物违反合作原则而产生的会话含义,及其对小说人物性格创造,文化语境构建的作用。帮助读者更好地理解和欣赏文学作品,从语言学的视角丰富对这部小说的文学批评。小说以19世纪工业革命为背景,描述了时代转型期新旧两种矛盾的斗争和力量更替。小说主人公亨查德表现出与时代格格不入,冲动、固执、孤傲,最终输给新力量的代表法尔伏雷,并走向毁火。故事情节跌宕起伏,人物会话丰富经典。格莱斯认为,人们为了成功达到交际的目的,必须遵循交际中的合作原则,以促使会话的顺利进行。但是在实际交际过程中,人们往往违反或忽视合作原则,从而产生了会话含义,这种情况下,人们经常是出于礼貌的考虑,不希望伤害听话者的脸面。本文选取了小说中大量典型的人物对话,用合作原则和礼貌原则加以分析,揭示了会话含义产生的过程及原因,分析了成功交际的策略。本文希望通过这边论文丰富文学语用学的研究与探讨。
[Abstract]:In 19th century, the Mayor of Casterbridge is one of the classic masterpieces of Thomas Hardy, a famous British novelist. The novel describes the ups and downs of the protagonist's life, and tries to carve out the image of the protagonist, Henchard. To make it one of the great tragic heroes in the history of human fiction. Literature critics study Thomas Hardy and his masterpiece Mayor of Casterbridge. However, the analysis of the conversational implicature of this novel by pragmatic analysis is seldom involved. This paper summarizes the literary criticism and research on Mayor Casterbridge. This paper analyzes the feasibility and necessity of studying the conversational implicature of the characters in Mayor Casterbridge from the perspective of pragmatics. This thesis is based on Grice's Cooperative principle and Lich's Politeness Rule. This paper analyzes the conversational implicature produced by the main characters in the novel because of their violation of the principle of cooperation, and its role in the creation of characters' character and the construction of cultural context. It helps readers to better understand and appreciate literary works. The literary criticism of the novel is enriched from the perspective of linguistics. Against the background of the industrial revolution in 19th century, the novel describes the struggle and the change of power between the new and the old in the period of transition. Henchard, the protagonist of the novel, shows an incongruity with the times, impulse, stubbornness, and solitude. Ultimately lost to the representative of the New Power, Farvre, and went to ruin the fire. The story is ups and downs, and the characters are rich in conversation classic. Grice believes that in order to achieve the goal of communication, people must follow the principle of cooperation in communication. But in the actual communication process, people often violate or ignore the principle of cooperation, thus creating conversational implicature, in which case, people often out of polite considerations, This paper selects a large number of typical characters in the novel, analyzes them with the principles of cooperation and politeness, and reveals the process and causes of the conversational implicature. This paper analyzes the strategies of successful communication and hopes to enrich the research and discussion of literary pragmatics through this paper.
