【摘要】：舍伍德·安德森是20世纪美国著名作家之一。1919年出版的《小城畸人》是其代表作。这本书由25个内在联系的故事组成,它描述了居住在俄亥俄温士堡镇的畸人的生活。有8个故事是直接以女性作为主人公的,剩下的故事中的男性主角也总是与女性人物密切相关的。作者描写了许多令人难以忘记的女性畸人,并且他对女性畸人鲜活的描写让读者极为触动。安德森对女性充满了同情心,安德森深刻地阐述了这些女性面对的难以忍受的痛苦和挫折。安德森关注在男性社会中女性的地位,他提倡平等的两性关系,这在现代男性作家中是极少的情况。本文通过文本细读的方法从女性角度分析《小城畸人》中的两性关系,揭示了女性身上的双性气质对构建和谐两性关系的重要意义。因为女性在男权社会中始终被忽视和否定,她们渐渐被孤立隔离。长期的压抑使她们变成畸人。她们幻想能和男性建立互利的两性关系,然而现实是残酷的。偶尔两性关系也会彰显希望和活力。女性的人格魅力和独特的女性气质被个别男性所认识并珍视。一些勇敢的女性以一种新女性的面貌积极地证明自己的价值所在。书中几位女性人物在主人公乔治·威拉德成长的过程中给予了不同方面的启发,使他的心智逐渐走向成熟,这就是互利的两性关系的典型例子。书中的两性关系大多是有问题的,究其原因,女性身上的双性气质被压抑是个很重要的因素。男权社会给女性规定了严格的性别角色,要求女性应该是柔弱的,有依赖性的,温顺的。像勇气,进取心这些品质已被打上“男性气质”的标签。女性身上不容许出现哪怕是积极的男性气质,否则就不被社会规范所接受。于是,男女相互间的理解和尊敬无法产生,两性之间真诚的交流也化为泡影。正如“坦迪”一篇中的醉汉所预言,具备双性气质的新女性将给两性关系带来希望。
[Abstract]:Sherwood Anderson is one of the famous American writers in the 20 ~ (th) century. The book consists of 25 intrinsically linked stories that describe the lives of the unorthodox living in Winsborough, Ohio. Eight stories are directly female and the remaining male protagonists are always closely related to female characters. The author describes many unforgettable female oddists, and his vivid description of female odontists makes readers extremely moved. Anderson is full of compassion for women, Anderson has a profound description of the unbearable pain and frustration faced by these women. Anderson focuses on the status of women in male society, advocating equal gender relations, which is rare among modern male writers. In this paper, the author analyzes the relationship between the two sexes from the angle of women, and reveals the significance of the bisexual temperament of women in constructing harmonious relationship between the two sexes. Because women are always ignored and denied in the patriarchal society, they are gradually isolated and segregated. Long-term repression has turned them into freaks. They dream of establishing mutually beneficial relationships with men, but reality is cruel. Occasionally, the relationship also reveals hope and vitality. Women's personality charm and unique feminine temperament are recognized and valued by individual men. Some brave women positively prove their worth with a new female face. Several female characters in the book have inspired George Willard in different ways to make his mind mature. This is a typical example of mutually beneficial relationship between men and women. Most of the relationships in the book are problematic, and the suppression of androgyny in women is an important factor. The patriarchal society imposes strict gender roles on women, requiring them to be weak, dependent and docile. Qualities such as courage and enterprise have been labelled as masculinity. Women are not allowed even positive masculinity, otherwise they are not accepted by social norms. As a result, mutual understanding and respect between men and women can not be generated, the sincere exchange between the two sexes is also lost. As the drunk in Tandy predicts, a new woman with an androgyny will bring hope to the relationship.
