【摘要】：《上海女孩》是当今最有影响的美国华裔作家之一邝丽莎的一部最新的历史小说。该小说内涵深刻,但因出版不久,除书评之外,鲜有学者对该小说进行相关的批评研究。本论文以《上海女孩》为研究文本,主要运用新历史主义的核心理论概念来解读该作品。本论文分为四部分：引言部分介绍邝丽莎本人和其主要作品,对她的畅销书《上海女孩》以及该作品的研究现状进行了文献综述,同时说明本论文的研究目的。第一章对新历史主义的相关理论进行梳理。重点介绍了涉及新历史主义的兴起、新历史主义的两个核心概念(历史的文本性和文本的历史性)以及新历史主义的发展。第二章从三个方面阐述“历史的文本性”在小说《上海女孩》中的体现。首先,该小说以第一人称的视角记录历史；其次,本论文指出了小说突显了边缘化的人物生活形象；最后,本论文介绍邝丽莎在讲述历史故事时运用的叙述策略(虚构和互文)。第三章从三方面阐述“文本的历史性”在《上海女孩》中的体现。首先,根据“文本的历史性”概念的含义,《上海女孩》不仅反映了作者的个人生活经历,而且也反映了作者所生活的历史时期的社会文化状况,是历史的产物。其次,《上海女孩》也是过去的历史文本作用的结果的证据,像过去的历史文本一样,《上海女孩》也是人们研究历史的一种资料,能够参与到历史形成的过程中去,也对社会、历史的发展起到一种能动作用。因此《上海女孩》的出版在某种程度上,在“我们时代的思想意识中”掀起了“一场革命”,从而参与创造了它所处时代的思想文化历史。最后,《上海女孩》是大写历史小写化的一种体现。新历史主义者认为,任何一部历史文本都无法客观而全面地覆盖历史真相,文本在修撰和传播的过程中,都不可避免的受到话语虚构性的干扰,以及政治立场的左右。历史的真相播散于各种文本之中,因而需要通过多元化的文本来共同体现；历史文本只不过是对已发生之事的种种“解释”,而不是客观“知识”。因此读者从《上海女孩》中了解的历史并不是全面的客观的历史真相,而是邝丽莎从自己的角度书写的历史。最后结论部分将归纳总结“历史的文本性”和“文本的历史性”与《上海女孩》的结合分析后得出的意义。历史不再是一种客观的存在,而是与文学文本一样也是一种叙事,它也具有主观性和虚构性。《上海女孩》和文学文本一样也受作者生活经历和社会环境的影响；另外,《上海女孩》作为一种文本能够参与到历史形成的过程中,因此,对社会和历史的发展有一种能动作用。《上海女孩》是人们研究历史的一种资料。因此,人们能够从中了解到许多关于中国的传统历史和中国人民,从而更好的了解中国。从《上海女孩》中可以得知华裔们过着痛苦的、悲惨的生活,正是他们的悲惨境遇折射出被大历史掩盖的边缘个体的生存状态。邝丽莎在《上海女孩》中没有回避华裔在纸儿子这一历史事件上有过错这一事实的同时,她主要揭露美国所宣称的“人人平等的、民主的国家”是如何不平等、不民主的对待少数族裔的。如今美国少数族裔在当今提倡多元文化的时代面对的已经不再是公开的种族主义,但他们仍然无法逃避以各种面目出现的新殖民主义的影响。这种影响在很多时候是无形的,令人难以识别,因此对人的心理和精神影响会更深,也更难愈合。因此,邝丽莎旨在通过该作品唤醒人们对历史的记忆,提醒人们不要忘记历史,不要忘记过去,要以史为鉴,回目历史能使人更清楚地审视现在。换句话说,也就是做到像培根所说的“读史使人明智”。
[Abstract]:Shanghai girl is one of the most influential American Chinese American writers , Ms . C . C . C . C . C . C . , a new historical novel . But shortly after publication , there are few scholars to study the novel . This thesis focuses on the study of the novel in Shanghai girl , which mainly uses the concept of the core theory of neo - historicism to interpret the novel .

This thesis is divided into four parts :

In the introduction , the author introduces the author herself and her main works , summarizes her best - selling books , Shanghai Girls School and the research status of the works , and explains the research purpose of this thesis .

The first chapter reviews the relevant theories of neo - historicism , and focuses on the rise of neo - historicism , the two core concepts of neo - historicism ( the historical nature and the historical nature of the text ) and the development of neo - historicism .

The second chapter expounds the expression of " the nature of history " in the novels of Shanghai girl ' s novels in three aspects . First , the novel records the history in the first person ' s angle of view ;
Secondly , this thesis points out that the novel highlights the image of the marginalized character ' s life .
Finally , this paper introduces the narrative strategies ( fiction and intertextual ) used by Mr . C . C . C . C . C . C . in telling history stories .

The third chapter expounds the expression of " historical " of " text " in the girl ' s life in Shanghai . First , according to the meaning of " historical " concept of " text " , the author thinks that Shanghai girl ' s history is a kind of historical text .
The historical text is nothing but an " interpretation " of what has happened , rather than objective " knowledge " . Therefore , the history of the reader ' s knowledge of the girl in Shanghai is not a comprehensive and objective historical truth , but the history written by Mr . C . C . C . C . C . from its own perspective .

Finally , the conclusion part will conclude the significance of summing up the " historical text nature " and " historical " of " text " and the combination analysis between " historic " of " text " and " Shanghai girl " . History is no longer an objective existence , but also a kind of narrative as the literary text , it also has subjectivity and falsity . The girl in Shanghai is also influenced by the author ' s life experience and social environment as well as the literary text .
In addition , as a text that can be involved in the formation of history , the girl in Shanghai has an active role in the development of society and history .
