解构视角下的《了不起的盖茨比》

【摘要】：弗·司各特·菲茨杰拉德是二十世纪二十年代美国著名的小说家,他被誉为爵士时代的代言人和桂冠诗人,其代表作《了不起的盖茨比》一直被公认为是美国文学史上杰出的作品。自1925年问世以来,这部小说一直是评论界的热点。无数的读者和学者从不同的角度对其进行了阐述和挖掘,然而评论界大都关注作品的主题和叙事方法,近年来也不乏读者从女性主义和文化角度等对这部小说进行解读。本文从解构主义理论出发,通过运用二元对立和米勒的重复观去分析小说文本,以期挖掘出文本蕴藏的深层含义。文章共有四章。第一章简要介绍作者和他的作品以及他在美国文学史上的地位和贡献,为文本的分析提供了一个广阔的材料背景。第二章主要介绍了解构主义理论的起源与发展,并且对耶鲁学派进行了简单介绍。笫三章是文章的核心部分,分析了二元对立和重复观在小说中的具体运用以及引起这两个观点在小说文本中体现出的原因。第四章是总结部分,进一步总结了二元对立和重复理论在文中的运用,并且指出盖茨比的美国梦不仅可以是一个破碎的美国梦和一个凄美的爱情故事,也可以是尼克的一场噩梦。总之,本论文认为,在解构视角下,这篇小说诠释了更多的意义,而且这些意义不再统一不变。在二元对立和重复理论的共同作用下,整篇小说充满了许多不稳定的因素,它们所蕴含的矛盾复杂性值得读者更多地推敲。
[Abstract]:Fitzgerald is a famous American novelist in the 1920s. He is regarded as the spokesman of the jazz era and the poet laureate. His masterpiece, the Great Gatsby, has always been recognized as an outstanding work in the history of American literature. Since its publication in 1925, this novel has been a hot topic in the critical circle. Countless readers and scholars have expounded and excavated the novel from different angles. However, most of the critics pay attention to the theme and narrative method of the novel, and in recent years, many readers have interpreted the novel from the perspective of feminism and culture. Based on the theory of deconstruction, this paper analyzes the text of the novel by using binary opposition and Hans Muller's view of repetition, in order to find out the deep meaning of the text. The article has four chapters. The first chapter briefly introduces the author, his works and his status and contribution in the history of American literature, which provides a broad material background for the analysis of the text. The second chapter mainly introduces the origin and development of deconstruction theory, and briefly introduces Yale School. Chapter three is the core part of the article, which analyzes the concrete application of dualism and repetition in the novel and the reasons that cause the two viewpoints to be embodied in the text of the novel. The fourth chapter is the summary, which further summarizes the application of the theory of duality opposition and repetition in the text, and points out that Gatsby's American dream can not only be a broken American dream and a sad love story. It could be Nick's nightmare. In a word, this thesis argues that the novel interprets more meanings from the perspective of deconstruction, and these meanings are no longer uniform. Under the joint action of duality opposition and repetition theory, the whole novel is full of many unstable factors, and the complexity of the contradictions they contain is worthy of more scrutiny by readers.
