探究《尖尖的枞树之乡》的双性同体思想

【摘要】：《尖尖的枞树之乡》是19世纪美国著名的“乡土文学”的代表人物萨拉·俄恩·朱厄特的经典力作。自其问世以来,它被学者们从不同方面,不同深度进行解读,其中批评家多数从生态批评的角度进行解读。在二十世纪六十年代,随着美国女性文学研究的兴起,这篇小说成功地引起了女权主义者的兴趣。但这部作品中所反映的双性同体思想很少被人探讨,这一研究新视角正是本文的发端。 本文从《尖尖的枞树之乡》中的人物塑造出发,作者分别运用伍尔夫的双性同体观、荣格的“阿尼玛”和“阿尼姆斯”理论和现代的双性同体观去探索这部作品所蕴涵的双性同体的思想。在此篇论文中,作者按照“男性气质缺失态”、“女性气质缺失态”以及“双性和谐态”的三种不同模式从这部作品中选取人物角色进行论证阐明。通过对这“三态”的论述,本文作者从不同侧面阐释了《尖尖的枞树之乡》所蕴含的“双性同体”的思想,进而得出结论：《尖尖的枞树之乡》体现了对“双性和谐”的人格模式追求的美好期许。 本论文包括六个部分：导论,理论章,正文三章及结论。 在导论部分中,作者简明扼要地概括了朱厄特生平及其作品,并且详细的对《尖尖的枞树之乡》的研究现状作了介绍。同时,这一部分还阐述了本论文研究的目的及意义。 论文的第二部分,即论文的第二章是本论文的理论基础,本章介绍了双性同体观,尤其对“双性同体”观念从三个方面,即伍尔夫的双性同体观、荣格的“阿尼玛”和“阿尼姆斯”理论和现代的双性同体观进行整理及阐述,并且总结出双性同体观的有意义之处,从而为接下来的文本分析提供较好的理论支撑。 在论文的第三章中,作者将布莱克夫人,乔安娜,威廉和蒂利归于男性气质缺失态的典型人物。在他们身上都不同程度的体现了男性气质缺失态,这给他们的生活带来的不同层次的负面影响,进而从反面印证了“双性和谐”人格的重要性。 在论文的第四章中,作者阐明：莫斯迪克夫人,李奇佩奇船长和丁米克先生身上体现了女性气质缺失态。虽然莫斯迪克夫人仍具有很微妙的“双性同体”的特质,但因“特殊”的航海生活经历,她压制了自己身上的“女性气质”,因而“双性同体”的特质并未在她身上得到很和谐的体现。而李奇佩奇船长和丁米克先生则是男权社会的典型代表。通过这三个人物的描述,再次证明了“女性气质缺失态”不是一种值得追求的人格模式。 在论文的第五章中,作者将托德夫人以及女叙述者作为“双性和谐态”的理想代表。在托德夫人以及女叙述者的身上,双性气质得到了完美的和谐发展。她们既体现了美好的女性特质,与此同时,她们也很和谐地秉承了男性气质。 本文结论对这“三态”进行重述和总结,进而得出“双性和谐”式的人格模式是现实生活中的一种值得追求的人格模式。
[Abstract]:Since its publication, it has been interpreted by scholars from different perspectives and in different depths. Most of the critics have interpreted it from the perspective of ecological criticism. In the 1960s, with the advent of American women. With the rise of the study of sex literature, this novel has successfully aroused the interest of feminists. However, the androgyny reflected in this novel is seldom discussed. This new perspective is the beginning of this paper.
Starting from the portrayal of the characters in The Hometown of Fir Trees, the author uses Woolf's androgyny, Jung's "Anima" and "Animus" theories and modern androgyny to explore the idea of Androgyny in this work. Three different modes of feminine temperament deficiency and androgyny are selected from this work to illustrate the role of the characters. Through the discussion of the three modes, the author interprets the idea of Androgyny embodied in the novel from different aspects, and then draws the conclusion that the novel is the fir tree with the tip. The township reflects the good expectations of the pursuit of the "dual Sex Harmony" personality model.
This thesis consists of six parts: introduction, theoretical chapters, three chapters and conclusions.
In the introductory part, the author briefly summarizes Juet's life and his works, and introduces in detail the present research situation of The Hometown of the Pine Fir Trees. Meanwhile, this part also expounds the purpose and significance of this paper.
The second part of the paper, the second chapter, is the theoretical basis of this paper. This chapter introduces androgyny, especially the concept of Androgyny from three aspects, namely Woolf's androgyny, Jung's "Anima" and "Anims" theory and modern androgyny, and summarizes and expounds. The significance of Androgyny has provided a good theoretical support for the subsequent text analysis.
In the third chapter of the thesis, the author attributes Mrs. Black, Joanna, William and Tilly to the typical characters of masculinity. They all reflect masculinity to varying degrees, which brings negative effects on their lives at different levels, and then confirms the importance of "androgyny and harmony" personality. Sex.
In the fourth chapter of the thesis, the author states that Lady Mosdick, Captain Ricky Page and Mr. Dimmeck show a lack of femininity. Although Mrs. Mosdick still has subtle androgynous characteristics, she suppresses her own "femininity" due to her "special" maritime life experience. The characteristics of Androgyny have not been harmoniously reflected in her. Captain Lichpech and Mr Dimmeck are the typical representatives of the patriarchal society.
In the fifth chapter, the author takes Mrs. Todd and the female narrator as the ideal representatives of androgyny. In Mrs. Todd and the female narrators, androgyny develops perfectly and harmoniously. They not only embody the beautiful female characteristics, but also harmoniously inherit the masculinity.
This paper concludes that the "three states" are restated and summarized, and then comes to the conclusion that the "androgyny and harmony" personality model is a personality model worthy of pursuit in real life.
