【摘要】：凯瑟琳·安·波特是美国20世纪一位颇有成就的女作家。她擅长探索新的小说创作技巧,并取得了卓越的成就。1930年发表的短篇小说《被遗弃的韦瑟罗尔奶奶》是凯瑟琳·安·波特创作生涯的一篇力作。故事背景设置在20世纪的美国南方,故事历时只有一天,从清晨医生探望病危的韦瑟罗尔奶奶开始至老奶奶去世结束。如何用短短的一天时间来展现老奶奶80年的坎坷人生经历呢?波特采用了意识流这一特殊的创作手法,生动刻画了韦瑟罗尔奶奶坎坷的一生及其临终前复杂的内心世界。
[Abstract]:Catherine Ann Porter is an accomplished American woman writer in the 20 th century. She is good at exploring new novel writing techniques and has made remarkable achievements. The short story "the abandoned Grandma Witherall" published in 1930 is a masterpiece of Catherine Ann Porter's writing career. Set in the southern United States in the 20th century, the story lasts only one day, beginning with an early morning doctor's visit to a critically ill grandmother, and ending with her death. How to use a short day to show her 80 years of rough life experience? Porter adopts the special creative technique of stream of consciousness, vividly depicting Grandma Weatherore's rough life and the complex inner world before her death.
