图里翻译规范理论视角下的《傲慢与偏见》中译本比较研究

【摘要】：上个世纪八、九十年代,图里继承和发展了埃文·佐哈尔(Itamar Even-Zohar)的多元系统理论和詹姆斯·霍姆斯(James Holmes)的翻译研究理论,提出了翻译规范理论。图里描写翻译思想的内容主要有三个方面,包括对描写性研究的重要性的论述、译入语为导向的研究方法以及对翻译规范的研究。其中翻译规范理论涵盖了前两方面,是其理论的核心。其理论最终的研究目的不是为了制定翻译规则,而是找出在翻译实践中,译者普遍遵守的规范,建立翻译制约因素的完整体系。他的理论打破了传统译论的忠实对等的理想化的观点和规约性的特点,大大拓宽了翻译的概念,给人们深入思考和合理解释翻译现象提供了新的、更全面的视角。他在社会和文化的大背景下考察翻译过程,将其中可能影响翻译的因素分成三个方面,形成三种翻译规范：原型规范,初始规范和操作规范。前两种规范形成了对译本的宏观的影响,而操作规范对译本的微观层面有影响。原型规范是目标语文化在某一时期内的翻译政策,能够影响翻译的选材,比如目标语文化能接受什么类型的作品、作家和流派等,以及能不能接受重译。初始规范是译者选择遵守原语的还是译语的文化语言规范,这会决定作品的整体取向。操作规范属于微观的制约因素,决定译文的整体结构、语料的选择和语言组织等。 本文拟从图里的翻译规范出发,通过简·奥斯汀的名著《傲慢与偏见》的王科一译本和孙致礼译本的分析比较研究,探讨翻译规范对译本形成的影响,旨在说明翻译规范对翻译实践有重大影响,从选择文本,到选择翻译策略,再到具体的翻译技巧,在整个翻译过程中都产生重要的影响。翻译是在原语文化和译语文化两种规范体系之间不停做出选择的过程。对图里翻译规范理论的介绍和应用,不仅给我们提供了一个新的角度来进行翻译研究,帮助我们进一步认识翻译的实质和特点,同时也可以更好地证明图里翻译规范理论的合理性和解释力。 全文一共分为五章,可概括如下：第一章是引言部分,简述论文要点、使用的研究方法以及本论文的研究目的,说明从图里的翻译规范理论角度分析译本的意义。第二章是文献综述部分,介绍了《傲慢与偏见》的作者和国内对于《傲慢与偏见》译本的研究情况。第三章介绍了图里及其翻译规范理论。第四章是对译本的分析,在译本中引用大量的例子分析翻译规范对译文产生的宏观和微观方面的影响。第五章是结论部分,总结了论文的内容,说明翻译规范对翻译实践有重大影响。
[Abstract]:In the eighties and nineties of last century, Toury inherited and developed Itamar Even-Zohar 's theory of multiple systems and James Holmes (James Holmes) 's theory of translation studies, and put forward the theory of translation norms. There are three main aspects of descriptive translation, including the importance of descriptive research, the target language-oriented approach and the study of translation norms. The theory of translation norms, which covers the first two aspects, is the core of his theory. The ultimate purpose of his theoretical study is not to formulate translation rules, but to find out the norms generally observed by translators in translation practice and to establish a complete system of translation constraints. His theory breaks down the idealized view of faithful equivalence and the characteristic of stereotype of traditional translation theory, widens the concept of translation greatly, and provides a new and more comprehensive perspective for people to think deeply and explain translation phenomena reasonably. He examines the process of translation against the background of society and culture and divides the factors that may affect translation into three aspects: prototype norms, initial norms and operational norms. The first two kinds of norms have a macro impact on the translation, while the operational norms have an impact on the micro level of the translation. Archetypal norms are the translation policies of the target culture in a certain period, which can influence the selection of translation materials, such as what types of works can be accepted by the target culture, writers and schools, and whether the target culture can accept retranslation. Whether the translator chooses to abide by the cultural and linguistic norms of the source language or the target language determines the overall orientation of the work. The operation criterion is a micro factor which determines the whole structure of the translation, the choice of the corpus and the organization of the language. This paper intends to explore the influence of translation norms on the translation of Jane Austen's famous works Pride and Prejudice through a comparative study of Wang Keyi's and Sun Zhili's translations from the perspective of Turi's translation norms. The aim of this paper is to illustrate that translation norms have a significant impact on translation practice, from the choice of texts to the selection of translation strategies, and to specific translation techniques, which have an important impact on the whole process of translation. Translation is the process of making choices between the source culture and the target language culture. The introduction and application of translation norms not only provide us with a new perspective to study translation, but also help us to understand the essence and characteristics of translation. At the same time, it can better prove the rationality and explanatory power of the translation norms theory. The thesis is divided into five chapters, which can be summarized as follows: the first chapter is the introduction part, which briefly describes the main points of the thesis, the research methods used and the purpose of this paper, and explains the significance of the translation from the perspective of the translation norms theory in Turi. The second chapter is the literature review, which introduces the author of Pride and Prejudice and the domestic research on the translation of Pride and Prejudice. Chapter three introduces Turi and his translation norms. The fourth chapter is an analysis of the translation, citing a large number of examples to analyze the macro and micro impact of translation norms on the translation. Chapter five is the conclusion, which summarizes the content of the thesis and shows that translation norms have a great impact on translation practice.
