施译本《骆驼祥子》异化策略使用：分析与批评

【摘要】：归化和异化在翻译领域中长期存在着激烈的斗争，几乎大部分的翻译研究都是围绕翻译策略的对比展开讨论。而且，在长期的翻译实践中，译者对源语和译语的语言和文化差异处理时常常采取归化为主，异化为辅的翻译方法，归化一直以来占据着主导地位，而异化处于次要的地位。在此种情况下，异化策略的重要性和实用性受到了忽视。 然而，20世纪70年代目的论的产生和发展极大地影响了翻译研究领域。目的论认为，任何翻译都是一种有目的的行为，翻译方法和翻译策略的使用由翻译目的决定。文学翻译也不例外。目的论为我们提供了一个新的理论视角确定翻译策略的选择，使翻译策略的应用能更好地符合其翻译目的的要求，异化策略的使用是符合文学翻译目的的需求。 基于此，本文以目的论为理论依托，，以施晓菁女士英译《骆驼祥子》的译本为研究对象，通过例证，演绎和描述等方法对译本中以专有名词，习语，贬损语，脚注，文化负载词，风俗习惯和方言等涉及语言和文化翻译的实际例子对异化策略的使用进行分析。本文旨在探讨在目的论视角下译者通过在语言和文化翻译方面合理使用异化策略实现译文的翻译目的。通过对异化策略的详细阐述，作者在文中从积极影响和消极影响两个方面对翻译过程中异化策略的应用给予客观的评价。最后，论文归纳总结出目的论对异化策略的选择具有指导意义，异化策略的应用也更符合其翻译目的的需要，即在语言层面上异化策略的应用使译文读者感受异国情调的语言风格和丰富译入语的语言内涵；在文化层面上异化策略的应用能更好地促进文化之间的传输和交流。同时，作者也希望通过此项研究使译者能更多地关注并广泛使用异化策略，为异化策略的发展尽一些微薄之力。
