概念整合理论对唐诗英译意象传递的解释力探析

【摘要】：传统的翻译理论通常把翻译看作是源语和目的语之间的一种意义传递的现象,而很少把研究的焦点放在翻译过程上,因而忽略了翻译过程是要受到诸多因素共同制约的,翻译本身具有动态性；除此之外,以往的翻译理论也很少系统的涉及到译者在整个翻译过程中所起到的至关重要的作用,译者头脑中思维过程也很少被提及。本文利用美国认知语言学家Fauconnier提出的概念整合理论对唐诗英译意象传递进行分析,试图探讨该理论对唐诗英译研究的适用性及其解释力。近年来,随着认知语言学的兴起,翻译研究的重点逐渐向译者的认知过程上转移。概念整合理论作为认知语言学的重要组成部分,在本世纪发展迅速,越来越多地受到关注。Fauconnier提出的原始概念整合网络有四个空间组成,即两个输入空间,一个类属空间和一个合成空间。在该原始模型的基础上,作者提出一个新的翻译网络模型。该翻译模型将翻译过程分为两个阶段：解读原文和构建译文。前者是译者对原文文本进行解读的过程,并在译者头脑中形成一个整合的概念结构；后者是译者根据头脑中的原文概念结构在译语中创建译文的过程,此模型也揭示了同一文本可以有多种译文的原因。本文验证了概念整合理论对诗歌翻译的解释力,为翻译研究提供了一个新的视角,并揭示了译者在翻译过程中的重要主体性作用。该研究拓宽了概念整合的应用领域,对该理论本身的发展和完善也有一定的贡献。
[Abstract]:The traditional translation theory usually regards translation as a phenomenon of meaning transfer between the source language and the target language, but seldom focuses on the translation process. Therefore, the translation process has to be restricted by many factors, and translation itself is dynamic. In addition, previous translation theories rarely systematically address the crucial role played by the translator in the whole process of translation. The process of thinking in the translator's mind is seldom mentioned. This paper uses the conceptual integration theory put forward by the American cognitive linguist Fauconnier to analyze the image transfer in the translation of Tang poetry into English. This paper attempts to explore the applicability and explanatory power of the theory to the translation of Tang poetry into English. In recent years, with the rise of cognitive linguistics, the focus of translation studies has gradually shifted to the translator's cognitive process. As an important part of cognitive linguistics, conceptual integration theory has developed rapidly in this century. More and more attention has been paid to the original conceptual integration network proposed by .Fauconnier, which consists of four spaces, that is, two input spaces. A generic space and a composite space. Based on the original model. The author proposes a new translation network model, which divides the translation process into two stages: the interpretation of the original text and the construction of the translation, the former being the process of the translator's interpretation of the original text. And form an integrated conceptual structure in the translator's mind; The latter is the process by which the translator creates a translation in the target language according to the conceptual structure of the original text in mind. The model also reveals the reasons why the same text can have multiple translations. This paper verifies the explanatory power of conceptual integration theory in poetry translation and provides a new perspective for translation studies. It also reveals the translator's important subjective role in the process of translation. The study broadens the application field of conceptual integration and contributes to the development and perfection of the theory itself.
