严复翻译中的意识形态操纵作用研究

　　依据勒菲弗尔的翻译理论,翻译是一种改写,受到意识形态、赞助人、诗学等因素的影响。其中,意识形态是最重要的操纵因素之一。纵观国内外翻译史,意识形态对翻译的操纵作用至始至终贯穿其内,或强或弱,或隐或显。翻译,无论是作为文化现象、思想运动,还是作为一项职业、一种技能,总与所处的时代背景密不可分。翻译的观念、方法、样式、标准、风格,无不与时俱进。中国历史上出现过三次翻译高潮,东汉至唐宋的佛经翻译、明末清初的科技翻译和鸦片战争至“五四”的西学翻译,每一次翻译高潮的翻译动机、翻译选材、翻译策略无不受当时社会意识形态的牵制和制约,无不映射出社会意识形态对翻译活动的操纵。严复是中国近代史上一位著名的资产阶级启蒙思想家和翻译家,他以英国为研究目标,学习其富强之道,探讨其政治、经济及社会制度先进的原因。抱着醒世觉民、富国强政的理想和目的,他先后翻译了十余种西方资产阶级的哲学、经济学、社会学、法学和逻辑学著作；其中,最有代表性的是为世人所称道的八大社会科学名著。这些译著将西方有价值的进步思想比较系统地传输到中国,使窒息已久的中国思想界开阔了眼界,满足了人们寻求救国救民真理的渴望。作为翻译家和思想家的严复备受...
