吴宓“翻译术”课程教学初探

【摘要】：吴宓的"翻译术"课程是中国近代教育史上第一门真正意义上的翻译学课程。文章通过对该门课程的创设始末、课程传播情况以及它与清华译学传统之间的关系等三方面进行考察,指出由"翻译术"和"译诗"共同组成的清华外文系翻译学课程体系在近20年的教学实践中,不仅深化了清华的译学传统,而且是中国翻译学学科成立成熟的标志之一。此外,我们还能发现:产生于梁启超所谓"第二度之翻译时期"的"翻译术"课程,以其鲜明的学科意识、完善的教学方法、持之以恒的教学实践以及丰硕扎实的教育成果,使之成为翻译学这门新兴学科的经典课程,同时也开创了中国现代外语教学的新纪元。
[Abstract]:Wu Mi's Translation course is the first true translation course in the history of modern Chinese education. In this paper, the author investigates the establishment of the course, its dissemination and the relationship between it and the translation tradition of Tsinghua University. It is pointed out that the translation course system of Tsinghua Foreign Department, which is composed of translation techniques and translation poems, has not only deepened the translation tradition of Tsinghua in the past 20 years, but also is one of the marks of the establishment of the subject of translation science in China. In addition, we can also find that the course of translation, which originated from Liang Qichao's so-called "second period of translation", with its distinct sense of discipline, perfect teaching methods, persistent teaching practice and rich and solid educational achievements, It has become a classical course in the new subject of translation studies, and also inaugurated a new era of modern foreign language teaching in China.
