从社会学视角看五四前后外国戏剧的汉译

  话剧,作为一种“舶来品”,是在十九世纪末经由教会学生演剧和华侨演剧传入中国的。五四新文化运动为话剧在中国的传播与发展起到了催化剂的作用。五四文人们在中西文化激越中主动学习西方戏剧,经由模仿到自行创作,最终开创了中国的话剧文学体裁。本文从社会学的角度探讨了五四新文化运动前后外国戏剧在中国的译介情况,将翻译活动作为一场社会实践,而翻译作品为社会实践产生的文化产品,并以此为出发点从社会学的角度研究戏剧翻译作为文化产品是如何发生,为什么发生以及其流入社会后的效果和作用。为了对这一社会实践作尽可能全面的分析,本文将社会文化的宏观视角和基于文本的微观视角进行了结合。 在研究中我们运用了法国社会学家皮埃尔·布迪厄的社会实践理论,其核心概念为场域、资本和习性。社会由不同的场域组成,场域就是主体活动的特定社会空间,如法律、政治、文学场域等,场域内部充满了权利斗争。话剧作为一种场域是在五四新文化运动时期向西方学习的浪潮中逐渐确立起来的,文明戏为其早期的形式。戏剧作为一种社会产品有其特定的价值,即象征资本。五四时期各个领域都弥漫着除旧立新的改革气氛,中国传统戏曲作为一种“落后的”文学样式而遭到批判甚至是...
