诗、伦理与文明批评——夏目漱石《虞美人草》试论

【摘要】：《虞美人草》是夏目漱石成为职业作家后的第一部长篇小说,问世后便引发了诸多争议。与他的早期作品相比,《虞美人草》对"诗"与"美"的攻击显得十分奇特。本文试图分析作者这一态度背后的现实关怀,通过将夏目漱石的文明批评与他所熟悉的卡莱尔、阿诺德等英国文人的思想进行对比,本文指出,通过提倡文化、强调人的内在修养来补救现代化进程的弊端是当时一种普遍存在的思路,但由于日本与西方语境的不同,夏目漱石的思考又呈现出特殊的面貌,从中可以窥见后发现代化国家所面临的某种困境。
[Abstract]:Yumumiao grass is the first novel by Natalie after he became a professional writer, which has caused many controversies since it came out. Compared with his early works, Yu Meicao attacks Poems and Beauty in a strange way. This paper attempts to analyze the realistic concern behind the author's attitude, by comparing Natsuke's criticism of civilization with that of the British literati, such as Carlyle and Arnold, who are familiar with it, and points out that, by advocating culture, Emphasizing people's inner cultivation to remedy the drawbacks of the modernization process was a common thought at that time. However, due to the difference between Japanese and Western contexts, Natsumi's thinking took on a special look. From this, one can see some of the difficulties faced by the latecomer modern countries.
