澳大利亚主流新闻媒体对孔子学院报道的框架分析(2005-2019)

自首家孔子学院2004年在韩国首尔正式成立以来,孔子学院发展迅速,国内外关于孔子学院的研究层出不穷,然而关于媒体对孔子学院报道的研究却寥寥无几。因此,本文运用内容分析法和话语分析法,从报道的数量篇幅、消息来源、倾向性和报道框架四个方面进行研究,并分析澳大利亚主流新闻媒体对孔子学院报道呈现的特征及探究背后缘由。研究样本选取自Factiva学术数据库,主流新闻媒体以澳大利亚最具代表性的两大报纸《澳大利亚人报》和《悉尼先驱晨报》为样本,时间选取我国在西澳大学建立第一所孔子学院的时间2005年5月为起点至2019年9月末。研究发现,澳大利亚主流新闻媒体关于孔子学院的报道量及关注度波动上升,但目前孔子学院为主题的通篇报道数量较少。消息来源主要由两家纸媒供稿,而来自中国媒体或者孔子学院的信源缺少,说明澳大利亚媒体在孔子学院报道方面拥有主要话语权。其次,根据新闻样本报道内容,通过编码得出四个主要框架,即文化框架、政治框架、战略框架和经济框架。文化框架最为常用,该框架下既有正面报道又有负面报道,但以负面报道居多;政治、战略框架下以负面报道为主;而较多的正面报道来自于经济框架,但数量较少。基于此,本文在讨...
