【摘要】：《占有——一部罗曼史》被誉为拜厄特的杰作并于1991年获得了英国小说“布克奖”。这部500页厚度的“魔”书标志着拜厄特巨大文学成就的巅峰。《占有》以充满悬念的侦探小说结构作为叙述框架，讲述了扣人心弦的学术与爱情的冒险传奇。小说将诸如历史文本、神话故事、书信、日记和诗歌等众多体裁元素巧妙地穿插其中，，呈现出三个时代——初始混沌的远古时代、繁荣的维多利亚时代以及凋零的后现代时期——的历史风貌。这种多重元素特性在《占有》中异常显著，拜厄特希望通过这种多元文本传达小说中丰富的历史主题，并在文本中构建一个多声空间。因此，小说中存在大量的对话，既存在于文本框架中也存在于小说内容里。在《占有》中，对话性作为历史叙述的基本特点，不仅是连接不同历史时期故事的内在结构，也赋予了该小说多元的历史主题。巴赫金的对话理论强调文本的多声部和复调结构，他认为文本不论在形式上还是内容中皆存在深层的对话性，这与《占有》中呈现的多元素叙事结构十分吻合。因此，运用巴赫金的对话理论对《占有》进行阐释，能够深化对该小说丰富的主题意义和文本形式的挖掘。本文即以《占有》为研究对象，运用巴赫金的对话理论，对《占有》中的深层对话进行探讨，旨在从对话研究的角度，通过揭示该小说的对话性，实现对其更深层次的阐释。对话理论为《占有》这类具备多种并置元素文本的研究提供了有效的阐释方法。通过对《占有》中四种层次的对话——即文本框架内的对话、两个历史时期爱情故事的对话、不同体裁类型的对话以及两种叙事技巧的对话——的分析，本文得出如下结论：《占有》这部小说以其多重元素实现的对话性，赋予了这部小说美学和主题双重意义。与此同时，对话研究能够在已有研究的基础上，进一步揭示该小说的后现代主义特性。
