【摘要】：舍伍德·安德森(Sherwood Anderson,1876-1941)在美国现代小说史上是具有特殊意义的。19世纪末20世纪初,随着工业革命在美国的全面发展,大机器生产开始全面铺开,劳动分工也更加明细,这使得美国社会日益商业化,金钱变得无所不能。这个时期人们的精神危机成为了当时小说家们关注的重点之一。作为这一时期的代表作家,舍伍德·安德森通过他的作品,描绘了当时中西部小镇居民的真实境况,揭示了人们内心深处的渴望。本文以他的代表作《小城畸人》(Winesburg, Ohio)为基础,重点关注其中具有象征意义的“逃离”,通过对小说中几位代表人物“逃离”的解读,试图解析逃离的原因和逃离的意义。指出安德森借助《小城畸人》给那些不安于此地不断离开不断寻找的人以莫大的慰藉。本文分为五个部分,前言部分简要阐述了安德森的生平和论文将逃离作为研究对象的原因。第一章令人神往的逃离详细叙述了小说中几位代表人物的逃离,选取了埃尔默·考利、富商之子、伊丽莎白·威拉德和乔治·威拉德四人,通过叙述考利青春期幼稚的逃离、富商之子对物质的逃离、伊丽莎白女性意念中的逃离和乔治最终成熟的逃离。基本概括了小说中的逃离形式。第二章探源“逃离”的发生解析了逃离的原因,通过代表人物共同原因和各自原因的分析,基本上梳理了畸人们逃离的原因。人格面具和阴影的冲突以及怨恨情绪的表达是小城畸人们心生逃离的共同原因。同时基于各自身份和成长经历的不同,他们又形成了各自的原因：埃尔默·考利想借助逃离在自卑中寻求超越；富商之子对物质欲望的迎合和恐惧；伊丽莎白视逃离为形而上的皈依之所；乔治则被安德森当做自己的化身,借助逃离回忆和哀悼过去,完成自己对逃离的终极想象。第三章寻梦的手段——“逃离”分析了逃离的意义,指出安德森笔下的逃离不是消极的,而是一种文学上的疗救。它是对美国文化中逃离传统的继承和发展,是对传统文化的追忆,也是对两性和谐的追求。文章的结尾,指出安德森描写那些处于文化碰撞地带、性格碰撞地带自我冲突不断的边缘人的逃离故事,是为了说明,不管社会上价值观的冲击如何猛烈,他都希望他笔下的畸人们借助逃离,有机会可以审视自己的内心。不一味的让人性被时代性所吞噬。
[Abstract]:Sherwood Anderson / Sherwood (1876-1941) is of special significance in the history of modern American novels. At the end of the 19th century and early 20th century, with the full development of the industrial revolution in the United States, the production of large machines began to spread out, and the division of labor became more detailed. This made American society increasingly commercialized, money became omnipotent, and the spiritual crisis of this period became one of the key concerns of novelists at the time. And as a representative writer of this period, Sherwood Anderson, through his work, Depicts the real situation of the Midwestern townspeople at that time, reveals the deep desire of people. This paper, based on his masterpiece, "the Terror of the small Town", Winesburg, Ohio, focuses on the symbolic "escape", and through the interpretation of several representative characters in the novel, "escape". It is pointed out that Anderson offers great solace to those who are not content to leave here and look for them. This paper is divided into five parts, the preface briefly explains Anderson's life and the reason why the thesis takes escape as the object of study. The first chapter is a fascinating escape that details the escape of several of the most prominent characters in the novel, and selects Elmer Cowley, the son of wealthy businessmen, Elizabeth Willard and George Willard, to escape childish adolescence through the narration of Cowley. The escape of the son of the rich merchant, the escape of Elizabeth's female mind and the final maturity of George's escape basically generalize the form of escape in the novel. In the second chapter, the author analyzes the causes of escape, and analyzes the common causes and their respective causes of the representative characters. The conflict of personality mask and shadow as well as the expression of resentment are the common reasons for the psychological escape of the urban teratologists. At the same time, it is based on their different identities and growing up experiences. And they formed their own reasons: Elmer Caughley wanted to escape from the inferiority complex in search of transcendence; the son of a rich businessman pandering to and fear of material desires; Elizabeth seeing escape as a metaphysical refuge; George, on the other hand, is regarded by Anderson as his incarnation, fulfilling his ultimate imagination of escape with the aid of escaping memories and mourning for the past. Chapter three, "escape", analyzes the meaning of escape, and points out that Anderson's escape is not negative, but a kind of literary salvation. It is an inheritance and development of the tradition of escaping in American culture. It is the recollection of traditional culture and the pursuit of gender harmony. At the end of the article, it is pointed out that Anderson's escape story of those on the fringes of self-conflict in the cultural collision zone, the personality collision zone, is to show that, no matter how violent the impact of social values is, He hoped that the people in his works would escape and have the opportunity to examine their own innermost, instead of letting humanity be swallowed up by the times.
