从叙事修辞学角度研究《长日留痕》的叙事策略

【摘要】：作为石黑一雄最负盛名的作品之一，《长日留痕》讲述了主人公史蒂文斯在离开达灵顿府的旅途中回顾自己效忠达灵顿公爵的时光，在深陷自我幻灭之感的同时逐渐在错位中找到真实的自我，并决心珍惜生命剩余时光的故事。 迄今为止，评论家们已从后殖民主义文学理论、心理学、新历史主义等角度对该作品进行了解读，并从主题分析的角度探讨了小说的创伤、怀旧、身份缺失等主题。也有评论家分析了史蒂文斯的不可靠叙述，但尚未有人系统地从叙事修辞学角度分析作品。因此，，基于现阶段国内外对于《长日留痕》的研究，本文作者试图从叙事修辞学的角度，主要借鉴韦恩·布斯等人的修辞理论分析石黑一雄是如何通过各种叙事策略操控叙述者从而达到与读者交流的目的。石黑一雄运用的叙事策略包括不可靠叙事与隐含作者的反讽，含蓄地揭露了叙述者史蒂文斯伟大的管家理想的幻灭，而这一过程要求读者保持相对客观的态度，通过史蒂文斯的叙述推测隐含作者的立场。同时，石黑一雄通过对隐含作者和读者与叙述者之间距离由远及近的娴熟控制，激起了读者对史蒂文斯的同情。因此小说最后于主人理想幻灭后中生出的一丝希望使读者与隐含作者达成了默契的“同谋”关系。
[Abstract]:One of Ishihiro's most famous works, long Day marks, tells the story of the hero Stevens recalling his allegiance to the Duke of Darlington on his journey from Darlington House. In the deep sense of self-disillusionment at the same time gradually found in the dislocation of the true self, and determined to cherish the rest of life's story. So far, critics have interpreted the novel from the perspectives of postcolonial literary theory, psychology, neo-historicism, and discussed the trauma and nostalgia of the novel from the perspective of thematic analysis. Some critics have analyzed Stevens's unreliable narration, but no one has systematically analyzed his works from the perspective of narrative rhetoric. From the perspective of narrative rhetoric, Mainly draw lessons from the rhetoric theory of Wayne Booth and others to analyze how Ishihiro controls the narrator through various narrative strategies to achieve the purpose of communicating with the readers. The narrative strategies used by Ishihiro include unreliable narration and unreliable narration. Implied author's irony, Implicitly exposing the disillusionment of the narrator Stevens' great housekeeper's ideal, a process that requires the reader to maintain a relatively objective attitude and extrapolate the author's position through Stevens' narration. At the same time, Ishihiro controls the distance between the implied author and the reader and the narrator by being far and near, Therefore, the novel, after the disillusionment of the master's ideal, gives rise to a glimmer of hope that the reader and the implied author can enter into a tacit "complicity" relationship.
